Just for clarification: The bolt that tightens and loosens the truck is the spring bolt close to the deck not the pivot bolt that is shown in the video. sorry for any confusion.

Yeah I was just going to point that out, see guidance here: www.longboarderlabs.com/faq/carver-tune-up-tips/ " DO NOT ADJUST THE FRONT PIVOT BOLT! This is the bearing for the swing arm and it wants to be snug but not too tight, as you can overtighten this bolt and damage the bearings inside. The way to adjust the internal spring which controls the arm tension is with the 1/2” Spring Bolt located on the baseplate at the back of the truck. " Maybe you should edit that and re-upload?

One great way to ride with the surf skate is to hit it in endless and keep your speed by pumping. It allows you to go forever without touching the remote
@koen95875 жыл бұрын
Been thinking about this combo since I learned about Mellow! I think it would be especially nice with the endless mode - keep pumping for speed. Would love some 65/70mm wheels for it tho because these large wheels decrease the surfskate's performance a bit.. Do you plan on making smaller wheels?
@adt30305 жыл бұрын
you can still keep smaller wheels in the front.
@koen95875 жыл бұрын
@@adt3030 Sure but it doesn't work well with two different wheel sizes on the same board..

I am really interested in getting a Mellow Drive to combine with my #YOW surf skate would you recomend the S Drive? Or the other one. Also think about it guys smaller back drive wheels means smaller motors!!! And that cant be good at least untill like technology enables Mellow to make motors smaller but with the same power.

how does endless mode work with pumping? Can I free roll, then just add some extra juice when I start to slow down, or get to a hill?

Was that 80mm 80A wheels? Will you be selling these any time soon? Any chance for a 80mm 76A?

I have tried allt three (c7, yow and smoothstar) on an electric board and would say that it depends on your stile of riding. No one of them is better
@koen95875 жыл бұрын
@@janhedegaard7318 Yea that's true all of them are good trucks for different riding styles. But as a surfer looking of best "surf-like" performance, the ones with the greatest possible rotation (Smoothstar/Yow) will be better. I do think that the Carver trucks are better for regular skating/carving because they are a bit more stable, especially the CX. It's all preference I guess.
@janhedegaard73185 жыл бұрын
@@koen9587 Agree. For surf simulation yow/smoothstar are the king:) I really enjoy c7 with the electric board because of the stability. I use ride unlimited brand for the board. Could be nice to try mellow :)
