Looks like an awesome spot. That trail dog was on point. Mud looked scary though.

Trail dog was used to hitting the big line so he got confused when that's the side I took

WAT? I ride Hillside all the time and didn’t know the new trail was a jump line. I mainly stick to Jeff’s and Eh-Line. Next summer…

To be fair, I didn't know about any of the other runs. Next time I'm in the area, I want to check out eh-line.

You shouldn't chastise the locals for taking their kids on the trails and teaching them to stop and assess. These are community trails built for all ages and abilities. You can go fast - but you need to go at odd hours and with a spotter.

I disagree. I think it is good etiquette to teach kids to observe a right-of-way when stopped. It is dangerous to stop on a jump line for anyone, adults or children. I don't want anyone to get hurt. And it happened multiple times this day that I didn't mention in the video. This trail in particular has plenty of room along the trail to stop on the side, not on the top or landing of a jump.

@@acebikemedia Yes it's good etiquette - but this trail was literally built next to an elementary school and it has little kids on it all day. You can't expect elementary school kids to make good decisions so ride conservatively.

@peakaweek right, but they were with their father. And this isn't about me, it is about the safety of everyone. Sure, kids won't follow the etiquette all of the time but it would be safer for them to be taught to and follow it. Even when my friends and I are riding together, we are on top of making sure each other stays off the trail anytime we are stopped, even if we don't think it's a big deal because of the time or because of the location on the trail.
