Glad this video exists. I'm planning a trip may 2023 to Asheville for a week of riding coming from Florida. This will be on our list for sure

Dang! Wish I knew you were at Kanuga! I’m local and ride there 3 times a week.... Your Giant Trance 29 review helped me purchase my Trance.

Really nice looking trails and great footage of them. Looking forward to seeing the black ones and the crash. Not that I will enjoy seeing you crash but it is a rear treat. 😉 I hope the elbow is continuing to heal up. Thanks for the video Clint.

Kanuga rules! Make sure you ride Hemlock Epoch next time you are there- best trail in the park IMO. But nothing there is a bad choice, all great. Great footage as always.

This is great! We just don’t have this on Long Island and it can be a bit depressing!

The Trance left the fleet a few years ago. I'm riding my Transition Sentinel in this video.

The blue trails look pretty steep. Would they be suitable for a novice on a mid travel trail bike. Thanks for the great videos
@duncanidaho843 жыл бұрын
There is a very good and pretty long green trail (Evergreen) you could start on. The blue's are fairly challenging but doable. At the end of Rhodo Ruckus you can transition over to the green jump line First in Flight.

love the videos Clint! any plans on getting the new spire?
@ClintGibbs3 жыл бұрын
Not sure yet. It's really more bike than I would need. The Sentinel can pretty much do everything I need it to on all the trails that I ride.
@kareemancher3 жыл бұрын
@@ClintGibbs that's whats tearing me up at the moment I got a v1 sentinel after watching you ride it and it is pretty sorted it would be nice to have a new longer travel bike though.

Do you know what the clanky sound coming from your bike is? My sentinels been doing that too and I'm not sure if it warrants concern.
@ClintGibbs3 жыл бұрын
My Sentinel is running smooth and quiet. You're probably hearing some other kind of noise, maybe something hitting the GoPro camera? Not sure.
@norcal-ce7yk3 жыл бұрын
Pick up your bike about 1-2' off the ground in a quiet space like a garage, drop it on both wheels (obviously still maintaining control and not letting it fall over) then listen for any odd sounds. That's one of the best ways I know for pin pointing exactly where the noise is coming from.
@MidWestMTB3 жыл бұрын
@@ClintGibbs Hmm okay. Just as an example, the sound I'm talking about happens at 2:23 right as you land off that little drop.
@MidWestMTB3 жыл бұрын
@@norcal-ce7yk Done the drop test, no noise. Only happens intermittently when I'm riding, coming from the middle or rear of the bike. Everything's been torqued to spec, bearings/housing are fine, nothing loose, nothing overly tight. The bike is nearly brand new with maybe 30 miles of riding on it.
@norcal-ce7yk3 жыл бұрын
@@MidWestMTB if you have internal cables that arnt routed through tubes, just through the frame, that could def make a rattling noise if the bikes really getting skaken around.

What does the sticker on the Sentinal say?
@ClintGibbs3 жыл бұрын
Something about registering your bike. My son and I leave the stickers on just for the humor of it.

how good are the oneup carbon bars? its worth it over alloy?
@ClintGibbs3 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, yes. Carbon has the unique property of making it flexible where it needs to be and stuff where it needs to be. One up seems to have done a good job with maximizing the carbon.
