You know, what horses do for us, as fear-based creatures and against all their natural inclinations, is enough to make you cry! I teared up watching arena familiarization! Winnie following her grandma into the big arena, despite her trepidation, was heart-wrenching. What a brave, brave girl. And you both did an amazing job--you can be very proud of Winnie, and she can be proud of you as well! 🙂

This almost made me cry. Little Winnie is so grown up! In the beginning in the warm up ring she was showing her lateral movements and attempt at passage! She was so good!! You were too. It just goes to prove that a well bred horse brought along quietly even if she is a home bred. Which to me is even more incredible! Can’t wait to watch on H&C! Hobbit? You are the best mum. As well as introducing her as your homebred mare, I think you should also say ‘home trained’ mare, as the reason she is shining and flourishing is because of your horsewomanship. So fantastic Meg! Winnie is turning into a fab pony. Just an observation, I noticed Laura's horse had an ear bonnet. I wouldn't be surprised if she had put ear plugs in her horse's ears to deafen the surrounding noise. I was thinking ear plugs could have helped Winnie out, but Winnie worked through all the interesting noises, the loud speaker, applause, etc. Good for her. Good for you. Well done!

Winnie is super. I've liked her since I first saw her gallop as a 2 yo in the pasture with others. She's really growing into herself--you've done such a good job with her. She needed a little extra time (and I think the more talent, the more they need time to grow, feel every stage of her body.
