out of all the routes featured i rode the 33 from Eccles to Manchester which i had an E400 Stagecoach yellow bus which made a change from riding a 67/100 to get into Manchester & it was nice to take a different route i def want to ride the 10 or 52 when im next up North & i did Both Eccles & Salford for bus spotting back in September which are both great for bus spotting brilliant vlog

Interesting that you rode two routes that started as competition in the deregulated era but have now found their place in the Bee Network! The 10 started in October 1986, at the very begiinning of deregulation, as the M10 operated by Ribble, who reopened their old Bolton garage to compete with GM Buses. Stagecoach bought Ribble in 1989 but Bolton was included in it's sale of East Lancs garages to Blazefield (now Transdev) in 2003. Blazefield would sell Bolton to Blue Bus of Horwich, who would subsequently sell out to Arriva! Meanwhile, much later, Stagecoach started the 38 to compete with First's 36 & 37, originally starting at the Royal Infirmary, then heading into Manchester and originally following the 37 to Farnworth, although it was rerouted to compete with the 36 to Little Hulton. Now, the extension to Logistics North has given the route it's own purpose, leading to it's continued survival as part of the Bee Network.

Great Video Lucy! As you said in the video at 12:55 that Stagecoach are giving Diamond their Mellor Strata’s. Why are Diamond not buying any new ones instead of taking Stagecoach. Do you know what are going to replace Stagecoach’s Strata’s?

Diamond were going to buy new ones I believe, but Stagecoach are now replacing theirs - and the SRs i THINK - with new Enviro 100EVs

@@LucyMichela I'll be thankful to see the back of Stagecoach's Solo SRs and the Strata's I am not a big fan tbf. It will be cool seeing the E100 EVs in Manchester. I wonder if they would be suitable for the 475 and 477 as some roads can be quite tight. I'm guessing the Solo SRs will go down to South Wales like the others or some other SC subsidiary like the 3 that went down a couple of months ago. Do you know how many E400/100 EVs SC have bought? Thanks for your reply!

There’s is one starting on the 28/10 running between Middlebrook and Wigan and the number is 615 😁.
