I visited Miami last month, mainly to ride Brightline but made a point of riding Metro Rail, Metro Mover and Tri-Rail. Before I left home, I called Miami-Dade Transit to ask if photography was allowed. I was told that it was OK if it wasn't for "commercial" purposes. When I double checked with a security guard at the Gov't Center Metro Mover station, he said it wasn't and played the 9/11 card. There weren't many guards at the Metro Rail stations, so I was able to get pictures and video. There was one at every Metro Mover station (probably because it's free), so I had to photograph it from "off the property". Overall I enjoyed riding Metro Rail, it's much nicer than the "T" in Boston. It was convenient for me because my hotel was a block from Brickell station. When I got home, I sent them a scathing email that their customer service and security people weren't on the same page. I never got a response.
