Hoping you can help me here. Bought a craftsman mower off friend. Ran fine but rough. Brought home, removed the mower deck to install the snow plow attachment. When I removed the deck I thought it easier to remove the blade engagement cable from under the hood where it connects to the engagement arm. The thinking was that it seemed easier that removing the cable and spring where it attaches to the mower deck. Long story short, did full tune-up (oil, spark plug, air filter, replaced fuse - though the old one had no break, etc.) Problem: sit on seat, engage parking brake, turn key.... no click, no sound at all. Brand new battery tested with multi-meter. Haven't tried installing the mower deck back in and installing the engagement cable but going from working to nothing is disturbing. Is the clutch/blade engagement cable have some safety sensor or something that tells the engine not to start if that is not installed. Basically the blade engagement arm is free-floating. I want to reinstall the mower deck and cable to test but just haven't had time to do it yet. Thought your experience might be able to provide me some insight. Thank you!😊

The only thing I would change is to use silicone grease instead of petroleum jelly (vasoline) since it will react with the rubber fuel line

I have a briggs. It starts everytime its 1 year old. So I was cutting grass for 2 passes then it died And it will not start back I have spark I've tested the coil and all ive check all switches for continuity everything checks out good. All lines good wires to. I adjusted valves . Even a new spark plug clean the carb ... checked head gasket. I've done everything there is humanly possible and this dang thing still won't start .. it has compression then stalls like the valves out of adjustment but I adjusted em correctly. Pulled the plug turns over fine. . The compression relief is working checked it to. I am baffled here

Where can I get some of those fuel filters you used in the video?

The ones I use come from Rotary Corp., you have to be a dealer to buy them. Check with a local small engine shop near you, all of us use Rotary products. The Rotary part #10352.

My dad's tractor just started cutting off when it gets hot, I went to check it out and now it smokes like a train and shuts off after 5 sec. Restarts and does the same again. Lots of oil leaked out of the muffler. I'm thinking I need to replace the head gaskets! Husqvarna yth22v46
