I bought a used ZX6R and love it. I suggest changing the damper settings on the front and rear, It's set up really stiff from the factory. Dave Moss Tuning has some great videos on damper setup, it totally changed the feel and maneuverability of my bike. Enjoy your riding!

It is #1. Along with proper tire pressure. Knowing how to warm up your tires... And knowing when they are warmed up. DO NOT BUY CHEAP TIRES

F Mirrors. Do not listen to this child. I need a steering DAMPER/STABILIZER. YOU NEED TO BUY ALL OF THESE THINGS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE, AND HAVE THEM INSTALLED. Mirros tucked? You need to know what is around you at all times. Especially lights!!! Seeing what is coming from behind you. Anti fog pin lock for your helmet. Anti fog safety glasses are a must

i just picked up my zx6r yesterday and they told me to keep it below 4k rpm until the 200 mile service but it’s hard to do that because even in 6th gear that’s like 40mph. any tips?
@connasaki3 ай бұрын
do your best to keep it low, but in all honesty you can get it around 8k 10k rpm every now and then. its what i did and my bike runs perfect

Do not go past 6k. Keep your engine speed at 4k. Not above, for the first 500 miles. Do your service. Then do not go over 7. Maintain engine speed at 6k until 1000 miles. Only then you should truly open her up. You will thank yourself... And so will she

The zx6 is a very aggressive uncomfortable position. The gsxr 750-600 is easier position on the rd. Gsxr 1000 is comfortable as well. Look at a set of helibars for your bike. They make a huge difference but not noticeable at first look.
@connasaki6 ай бұрын
@lowlife189 tbh I find it pretty comfy until I have to ride for more then 2 or 3 hours then my neck starts to feel it

Not embarrassing. If you change the GEOMETRY of your motorcycle, you need to take into account of her then limits. You can lower the front and get a longer/adjustable DOG BONE. RIDE YOUR LINE. DO NOT OVERTAKE OTHER RIDERS. YOU ARE NOT ON THE TRACK. PRACTICE HARD BRAKING... COLD TIRES AND HOT!!!

New riders need to look up how we lost our sister's n brother's to motorcycle accidents, IN THERE STATE!!! AND EVERY STATE. REMOVING YOUR MIRRORS IS ONE IF THE MOST UNINTELLIGENT THINGS YOU CAN DO. GET YOUR SHORTY LEVERS BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR BIKE.ADJUST THEM TO YOU!!! MOST ACCIDENTS HAPPEN BECAUSE OF STRONG FRONT BRAKE PULL
