Being a CBR Owner, I can say, the CBR 1000RR is the perfect entry level liter bike stock! Its not about how much power (189 hp) the engine makes, its about how its delivered, which is perfect for everyday street and highway riding and even casual track days. The electronics package, including the customizable power, tc, wc, sc and abs is something thats only offered in high end race versions in each literbike per brand, and this thing has it included for $16500, has front and rear manual adjustable suspension which is now slowly becoming a rarity in most bikes as brands want you to pay for that as an upgrade, comes with an add on plug and play up down QS with autoblipper from the RRR Fireblade for $400, Has full LED lights, has their age old tested and proven KYB Electronic steering damper hidden inside the tank, and other brand still upcharge you for one. And the crazy part is, the 2023/2024 weighs as much as a BMW S1000RR wet. The 2025 is even lighter!! And then, Once you add on air filter, full exhaust, velocity stacks and a tune, you can really unlock its true potential.
@gunmenow10 күн бұрын
Why not the fireblade version? Better brakes and suspension?
@aniv583310 күн бұрын
@gunmenow Hence the Upcharge! Have to pay more for all the "better" parts. But, are those really that better? Especially for everyday street and highway riding? The Nissin brakes on the RR are no slouch. They have a strong bite, pretty accurate and doesn't fade in intense braking. The stock suspension is also manually adjustable, which can easily be adjusted with a few turns, just before and after the ride to dial it in as per your preferences.
@gunmenow10 күн бұрын
@ is it the case that fire blade has 200+ hp?
@aniv583310 күн бұрын

The cbr1000RR isn’t a bad bike at all, it’ll be better for him because unlike you say it doesn’t have characteristics like the other bikes, it very much does have that it feels like your swinging around a 600 with a 1000cc when your on it, and the power wise is only when compared stock for stock, with a exhaust filter tune and quick shifter and your looking at 180whp, the powerband does feel like a triple r after the upgrades. Solid bike unlike the r1 that tends to blow up, I would recommend Honda, gsxr, zx10 as a first liter bike in my opinion also have capably of more upgrades (faster) than any other bikes, I’m personally a Panigale v4 guy (in love with power delivery)but sometimes I regret buying one instead of those just solely on the amount of upgrades you can do.

I still have my 07 CBR 1000RR.. I bought it brand new in January of 08.. it was still sitting on the showroom un purchased and they had $2,000 off msrp, so I bought it for $10k brand new.. I traded in my 03 gsxr 750, the honda is an amazing bike.. I wouldn't buy anything else.. I had a 2014 R1, it was a piece of garbage.. The chain tensioner broke and scattered the motor,.. The cheap price I got it for turned into a motor build.. Sold it a year later for a Harley.. The Honda is the only 1k I would buy as you can trust them to last forever.. Mine has 54k miles and has had nothing done to it but plugs, chain, tires, oil, brake pads.. At 45yrs old, its fun to own, just to get out a few times a year and rip her up the highway.. I have only put 1500mi on in the last 5yrs..

Smart choices are the GSXR1000 or that CBR1000RR, everything else you compromise a bit or reliability and pay a bit more for a bit of fancy this or that. If Aprilia's were at least as reliable as the Honda or Suzuki then I'd buy one, but I'm not paying more for something that's significantly less reliable.

Can relate to the weather there. Here in Idaho it got cold with minimal snow (I winterized my YZ 125 too early, missed out on a bunch of weekend rides) but we are about to get hammered with about a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow. I had the uclear comm on my street helmet for many years...after using it just once I decided I'd rather listen to the bike than music or worse, phone calls. That comm is still in the helmet over 20 years later, too lazy to pull it out. Jake looks like the main character in the novel I am working on, the character is a smart-ass snowboarder.

Next time you make a video, try not to talk smack about every bike you sit on. You’re going to lose subscribers that love the bikes that you are hating on. Especially the GSXR you’re the first person in my life to ever say anything bad about a gsxr. In my earlier years 07-2010 I sold bikes at a bike shop (not exactly a great career choice) and it is the most reliable and track worthy bike you can get. How is it outdated? It has a standard ABS and traction control, quick shifter, and digital display on the non R model.
