PCH is GORGEOUS! I drove parts of it years ago when I was out there for training at NTC as a US Army soldier. I managed to get a couple of days free, so I rented a car and did it. I need to get back there with my bike and do the whole road.

wife and I rode from S.F. out to hwy1 after we walked the Golden Gate. then up 101 back home. it was September, absolutely no traffic.

I live in Gilroy, Ca, short jump to Hiway 1. Have ridden from Monterey to SLO several times, beautiful ride. Main issue is one lane, and lot of motor homes. Still worth it! A must ride! September best time of year to ride!

Main issue is it keeps falling into the ocean and then it takes them a couple years to fix. You can't ride from Monterey to SLO on 1 now, it's closed in several places from landslides.

Tall I just got back from the island of Oahu in Hawaii, crossed off my list of riding the coast on the north shore. Rented a Harley (Fat-Boy-cause I ride one back home) and it was incredible. Green mountains to my left and beaches with blue turquoise water on my right. Add that to your bucket list if you haven't ridden in Hawaii, you won't be disappointed. I have to add the Pacific Highway to my list. Thanks, loved the video!!

I've never done it on a bike but Maui would be amazing. Road to Hana, the road up the volcano to see the sunset and the stars, riding from Kihei to Kaanapali along the coast with a stop at Leoda's Kitchen for pie, it's got to be fantastic.

I took Highway 1 3 weeks ago I live out in Oklahoma not a bad place to live but the ocean is really nice I think the farther you go south you will start to like it a lot better North is all trees Happy Travel sir happy travels

I'm from Chicago. Rode through many cornfields of Illinois. Dreamed of riding highway 1. Now I live 30 minutes from the pacific in Sonoma county. Weird thing is, I tend to miss the straight roads in the middle of cornfields now that I live here. lol

In 1973 drove the PCH in my MGB convertible. In 2007 rode the PCH on my Road King. Much more fun on the bike.

We were gone for 16 days. I deal with shoulder pain when riding but I've learned to live with it. But it was totally worth it. My wife loved it.

Yes indeed! There's something about enjoying it on a motorcycle that gives me an overwhelming feeling of being in God's presence. It's a peace that I don't have the words to explain. It's like a good Sunday morning Worship Service at Church. You can feel the presence of God, and there's nowhere else you'd rather be.
