From those of us who call the Black Hills home like my family, there is so much more to it than you can even dream of. The healing place is what it is in all truth, no matter what problems you may have in your life they will melt away day by day if your open to it and let the magic of this special place help you. We who live here and make our living in the Hills welcome visitors every year, some don't understand what is here and breeze through while so engulfed by their cell phones or laptop world they never let the Hills in to do what it does, I'm a logger who grew up here and now has raised my family here and no matter where we have been there is no place on earth that has the effect on people like here. Glad you enjoyed your visit. We live in the National Forest about half way between Custer and Hill City on our own piece of heaven on earth, my wife Works in the Park, our Kids are grown now, one works for US Fish and Wildlife and the other for the US Forest Service but both within a few minutes drive of home.....this is the effect it's had on their lives also. When Visiting the Black Hills all we ask is to remember this is our home and we protect it jealously, all we ask of visitors is to respect what is here and to remember....while it's here for all to enjoy....good people do live here and call this special place home. Hope you come back someday !

Benjamin I spent 28 wonderfully exciting years with my husband riding motorcycles behind him. Trusted him with my life and don't regret any of it. We rode Suzuki ,Honda, any bike that would start and run but Yes Harley Davidson is a different ride. Made that Needles ride with him a few times. Love the Black Hills. He has gone on without me and my memories have to get me through the rest of this journey without him. Don't put off something you want to do. Time is short here.

I have mountain property and live in the Black Hills of South Dakota so I can't count how many times my wife and I have road through the Needles Hwy on our Harleys, and all the other beautiful rides in the Black Hills. We are fortunate that we can ride when ever we want. And yes it is definitely a beautiful place to ride.

Excellent video!!! F.Y.I. Sylvan Lake on the Needles Highway is where they filmed National Treasures "Book of Secrets ". That road is very Sacred and special. Beautiful. Hope you can take Flyboy next time. NFTB.

Hi Tolleson Family, Keith and I hope you two are safe, well, and rested. We thought about the two of you on today when we made our reservations for the 2021 Sturgis Rally. Reservations actually opens on tomorrow but I called Lanna and made our reservations on today. The first day is usually a busy day and we needed to be on a site long enough for our RV and trailer.. I rode that for the first time on a brand new 2015 Road Glide ( my first bike with a fairing) 5 years ago and don't mind telling anyone that my PUCKER factor was off the charts on some of those turns ... but once I got down to the flats of Custer Park and checked my drawers it was a great feeling and a experience of a lifetime !! I enjoyed watching your video and living it all over again .... less the pucker factor ...... looking forward to the finale !!!

Several other Hondas, several Harleys, and right now an Ultra Limited and a new generation Goldwing Tour. See what you all started back then? I've done Americade from down south, Rt 66, this trip that Tollesons just did, plus tons of other riding. Need to do more while I still can.
