When Muni operator Randi Scott is piloting the 67 Bernal Heights bus, her mantra to passengers is “hold on tight.”
“It feels like a roller coaster,” Scott said, laughing. “When I’m coming over (the hill) and down, you get that little feeling in your stomach. I have kids on the bus shouting, ‘Woooo!’
The 67 Bernal Heights is Bay Area transit’s best amusement park ride. According to a Chronicle analysis of every San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority line, the 67 conquers the steepest grade in the city’s bus system.
