This is me riding the brand-new Airport Ring Line (FI: Kehärata; SWE: Ringbanan) together with my friends. It is a long-awaited, new commuter train link that was delayed by a year (under construction since 2009 and planned opening in 2014), but was opened for service in July 2015. It connects the Eastern and Western districts of Vantaa and includes new station in developing districts, but also provides a railway connection to the biggest airport in Finland - the Helsinki-Vantaa airport, via the Airport (Lentoasema/Flygplatsen) station, but the direct entrance to the airport is yet to open in Autumn 2015. Until then, the nearest entrance is 300 meters away (there is a temporary free shuttle bus service between T1 and T2 and the Airport station entrance). The contemporary and comfortable Stadler FLIRT Trains (Swiss-made) are used on this line.
