I could tell which breed it was before reading the thumb nail. The Cleveland Bay, is one of my favourite breeds of horses, so versatile they can do just about anything just like the breeder said. Thank you for your beautiful video on this much loved breed, but sadly not spoken about enough in Equestrian circles , but I think they are an amazing all round breed of horse. I love them. ❤ 🐴

@@DiscoverTheHorse I would love to have met Kyle - I have his grandson Jackson. We’re in the US, and we primarily fox chase. He will tell you he is NOT a show horse, but we do three shows every summer with the Mid-Atlantic Cleveland Bay series, just for the breed awareness. We’ll be at Upperville, for example, and people who’ve ridden their entire lives will come up to say they’ve always heard of a Cleveland Bay, but they’ve never met one. Which is why we do it!

Very interesting My daughter has always wanted a horse, she is getting up there in age and she I'm sure has never heard of this breed. When I see her around Labor Day week end I'll tell her about your expeditions. She raises collies the only bad side of this is I'll probable have to be knee deep in collies.

I am fascinated by your Discover the Horse series. I have owned or ridden a Paso Fino a thoroughbred an Appaloosa a Tennessee Walking horse and a Chincoteague pony a sport horse and many grade horses. I am 68 and ride a 20 yr old thoroughbred. He and I get along famously. I’m quarantined with Covid and am enjoying this series.

I never understood breeders, I am a lover of Morgan's but yet alot of the top Stallions don't have male heirs because they Geld 99% of them , which is killing the Morgan breed, and alot of other 1s as well.

You only need a couple of stallions from a given bloodline to be producing progeny. You want diversity of bloodlines to ensure inbreeding issues don't arise. So you keep the most outstanding and geld any that are not going to be used for breeding to keep the quality high and also allow those geldings to live a quieter life without all those silly hormones running around making them want to get frisky and fighty.

@@mariachristini1468 The problem is like the Morgan breed where all the good Stallions are deceased and a good portion of them came from the Lippit lines and to improve the breed they Always went into the Lip[pit lines to improve short comings. Because the Lippit's were the closets to the original Morgan's .
