I have been in Lithuania on my honda blackbird for over a month. It was a long drive here from Ireland, but so worth it. Lithuania is amazing, and the summer has been fantastic!! I was delighted to see your thumbnail.

I remember when I got my first DSG car - everyone said "it's not real driving" but I loved it. Now, I'd never go back to a manual car (unless I could afford an F40....!)! I'm sure the same will happen to bikes as the tech on this also matures.
@ChrisVanMiddelkoop2 ай бұрын
Dsg is not the same though. You dont still have a third pedal. Also 4 wheels are so much different than two. Dsg is still an automatic.
@deputydd43642 ай бұрын
@@ChrisVanMiddelkoop You're right on the third pedal but a DSG is basically an automated manual which is very different to torque convertor (slush box) automatics. I'm looking to buy a CMX1100 DCT next as I took one for a test ride, and just like when I first drove a DSG, once I stopped trying to operate a non-existant clutch it was awesome! I think Honda have added the 'optional clutch lever' to this bike as a stepping stone before it goes completely

I have driven cars since 1976 and motorcycles since 1978. I have tried many kinds of automatic transmissions but will always select manual for my own car and motorcycle. It gives so much more control. The Honda Dax automatic transmission worked well in 1969 and works well today. A great city bike. It matured before you were born. Now it is your turn!

This was a fantastic review, Deimante. I am not here for the bikes, though it is nice learning about them. I would not otherwise. I am here to experience you and the other parts of the world you share with us. Time with you is lovely. You are pleasant, and you have such a great attitude. Other reviewers talk trash about a bike, and you always keep it positive.

As a new rider we do need more e-clutch/dct type bikes. Drove manual cars for most of my life but auto's so much easier :) Biking is dying, anything to bring more new riders is welcome.

I ride a Yamaha xmax 300 and I love not having to shift. That is a nice bike and if I wasn't short on one end I would get one.
@ericwilliams62619 күн бұрын
The main purpose of the E clutch is to remove the traffic fatigue of over shifting up and down. This is the most annoying part of riding a motorcycle, traffic. There are tricks one can use with a typical bike but Honda has to signal people directly with a physical change to how you ride. E clutch removes the annoying hand fatigue. I have a Honda Cub and riding that in traffic is so much easier. The purpose of this bike is for those who want speed but not in the low range as this is meant for the rider who wishes to be safe wo sacrificing the power to get out of traffic problems, known as cars.

I had a go on a CB and CBR with E-Clutch and I have have to say, it does take getting use to especially when you come to stopping and grab the clutch immediately then you don’t start grabbing the clutch and stopping and go wow. I got caught out a few times by not going back into 1st but corrected it immediately before pulling away. What got me was giving it some and just flipping your foot up and laughing away with a big grin. I hope Honda do it up to the big bikes soon. I did want a CB650R in grey but earliest delivery is about late September in the UK 😢 I’ll have a look at Kawasaki hybrid too as that looks interesting and different. Lovely review 👍

I enjoy your videos and your perspective on different bikes. If I may make one comment it would be that I would feel more at ease seeing you cover your brake and clutch with your index and middle finger while riding, for quicker reaction time if needed. But maybe not the clutch on this bike! Many thanks and ride safe ✌️

Tomboy Great Video Lady! I love your enthusiasm. Wonderful. Honda has gone all out with automatic motorcycles in the last few years. It's actually an option to get a manual Goldwing now according to my dealer. If not automatic, most bikes have a quickshifter option. My Tiger 1200 GT Explorer and my Triumph 1200 Speed Triple RR both have them. I love all the options available now. I love my quickshifters but when I ride my Triumph Thruxton R, for the first few moments on occasion, I forget to use the clutch to shift. I love your videos Lady and can't wait for the next one! Nice motorcycle Hondas usually are nice riding motorcycles As a rider I always told new riders if you want a Harley-Davidson get one because you want one, if you just want to ride a motorcycle it not a hard choice to go with a Honda, I have owned several Harleys and Hondas over the years, I learned to ride on a Honda 185 twin back in 1978. I was looking at how the e clutch works, interesting technology going to br fun for the mechanics when come time for service. I also wondering if clutch life lengthens with the e clutch since its doing the shifting and does its smoother. Cheers.

I've been riding my NC750X dct since 2015, so this new e-clutch seems interesting. If they put this into their new Hornet I'll be even more interested. Maybe this is why they never put the dct into the Hornet? Hopefully it is as reliable as the dct.

Wow… I am here in Indiana U.S.A. used to roads best described in French as pisé de merde … accent grave gives… pisè de merde [ from the root - putain de merde in British English means fuuking hell - but in any case incorrect accent is either a misspelling or turns it into something lessor or more intense as to argue or grave accent but French has no profanity which English excels at ]. Worse here the Honda dealer has ZERO stock of bikes… before COVID lots of bikes. As to the bike last November looking at CBR-650R fared version, though I usually in the old days took the fairings off. Anyway the dealer 5 States away had one. Learned Honda has kits to basically upgrade its bikes to E-Clutch…. Humm interesting about $350 or about 280£. But decided to hold off tell the actual e-clutch version came out. Your review really gives me a great real world experience… as the roads are similar here. Thank You!
