They should have continued the original plan of creating many more routes of the metrorail and mover. I was born and raised in Miami and love It, but this is one part I truly hate our politicians for. We are still paying a half cent tax for new lines since like 30 something years and nothing. There excuse? The current system needs the half cent tax lol they literally said the half cent tax would only be used for new transportation stuff lol. Alright that’s my rant for the day lol 😂

It's frustrating when promises are made and not kept, especially when it involves important infrastructure like public transportation.

@@305Spot you know what’s awesome? The original plans they had for the metro rail, wow that thing would have elevated Miami’s status to a super stardom city. They had an amazing foresight for our beautiful city. I’m quite amazed by it. It’s simple but awesome. Hopefully one day it will get done, even if we’re not here to see it lol. 😉

@@305Spot The real problem was that Miami Dade County needed a full penny Sales Tax for Transit. Half a penny for new Metrorail transit lines & the other half for existing Operation budgets. Voters kept rejecting the full Penny tax until it became the 1/2 cent Tax which passed. The County switched the intended use of the Tax to keep Transit going & only gave us a 3 Mile Metrorail extension to the Airport instead..
