I miss Scotland so much (based on the south coast for work at the moment), and this was a perfect illustration of everything I missed! Blake’s appropriate happiness at the lack of the fanged clouds, the dreich weather, the epic mountains, the drainage ditches, awesome rock, even those fire road climbs from 10 under the Ben! Much as I hated them several laps in...

Carn Dearg is pronounced like "Carn Dirrig", Gaelic never seems to read how you'd say it. Great content, and an absolute beast of a run.
@grigorbrowning5 жыл бұрын
I'd go further and suggest that Dearg is pronounced almost with a 'j' in with the 'd'- so "Carn dJerag". And while I'm being a pedantic ass hat, Blake was pointing at Tower Ridge. Carn Dearg is behind his head... :-)

@Pete is never wrong Oh yeah I didn't mean that Carn Dearg was in English or of English origin. Goes to show its ambiguity as well.
@gordon15455 жыл бұрын
It's really Carn Jerack. You can get away with more of a 'g' sound at the end, but definitely not a 'd' sound at the start of Dearg, it's a 'j' sound.
