We need more trails like this down in South. Looks brilliant fun for a long day spinning the legs 😎👍

Ticked off Y Wrach Wen today. Great route (except those 2 bits of hike’a’bike)!

If coming from the North travel up from Wrexham to Coed LLandegla spend a day on a MTB, then drive down via Bryneglwys - Bala for a few days in Dolgellau for all your gravel MTB fun at Coed Brenin, you could even have a day on the Mawddach Tail and fish and chips by the sea in Barnmouth. What an awesome few days that would be!!!

That would be an awesome itinerary for sure!

Thanks for the review Kes, the new trails looks good. Planning a holiday nearby next month so will be sure to bring my gravel bike. We designed the bike shop building back in 2013, good to see Joe and Andy still around and Beics Brenin going from strength to strength. Keep up the good work.

I've gravel biked CYB quite a bit, but look forward to trying these new routes. Booked a last minute weekend away for the launch! The super steep descent in the video - I wonder if that's the Plunge Pool descent I encountered in the CYB Enduro some years ago? Looks like it. :)
@GuyKesTV6 ай бұрын
Yeah, probably. It's a popular bit of off piste trail but it's got spicier since I rode it last year on the Levo SL launch

Whoaa, That looks interesting. I am spending a weekend up there in a month or two with some mates more into the MTBing. I may consider bringing the gravel bike along and doing a solo gravel day as well! Top job! Thanks! 👍

This would be a great place to get my girlfriend used to riding her new gravel bike, I would need to avoid the mountain bike route though, as this would put my girlfriend off for sure, she needs to build up her confidence and if I could put the simplest routes together with views to die for, she'll rock that gravel bike before we head off to the Dolomites in June 👊😉👍 Great vid and info 👊👍🤟
@GuyKesTV6 ай бұрын
It’d be perfect for that. The Y Wrach Wen we rode is the only trail that has singletrack so if you stick to the others you’ll be fine. Enjoy the Dolomites 🙌🏻

Hi Guy, great video as always. I’m completely new to gravel, I bought my bike for commuting as my route uses two byways, I fancy giving those trails a go, what psi were you running there?, cheers Bryn.
@GuyKesTV4 ай бұрын
Ey up Bryn, what tyres are you using and are they tubeless or not? The bigger the tyre, the lower you can go on pressure but if you give me some details I can help with an educated guess
@@brynliz excellent tyres. You should be fine on 30psi as most of the chunky rocky bits are uphill not downhill 👍🏻

I’m sure there’s some official lists but I reckon your best bet would be to join the Traws Eryri trail group on Facebook. The trail runs right through CYB and they have loads of up to date info on official and unofficial spots.

It's great to see Coed y Brenin actually get the gravel trails going, it's been along time waiting, plus it's also great they've expanded out more, and hopefully they'll expand further out to make the distance more exciting for us gravel riders ... I went to Coed y Brenin when it first started in the early 90s and it's grown bigger and plenty of trails to pick, look forward to visiting next weekend when it officially opens 🍻👊😉👍

Rode Wrach Wen today .Am sorry to say not a lot of imagination gone into this Trail over 3000 ft of climbing for little reward .Just boring fire roads .There are much better Gravel Trails out there.
