This video was depressing. These enclosures are not good enough for these animals. Too small, no nature water source or real greenery. You know why the pandas were sleeping? Because they were bored, as they had no enrichment. Then the flamingos standing in stagnant water pool, to the poor penguin alone in a small area. This was just sad. I'm sorry, usually I enjoy your videos, but this one made me sad 😢

Same here, I was horrified by the concrete, indoor enclosures for the pandas - why weren't they at least out in the open like the other animals? So awful. The baboons were put in what looked like a construction site, basically a desert of rocks and sand. The cheetah had some greenery in its space, but it was tiny - this is the world's fastest land mammal and it had nowhere to run. All of these animals are highly intelligent and need to space to roam. This was just cruel.

@@ingredientsbylouise I love Japan for many many things. But giving animals in a zoo an environment, with enough space, nature and overall a good living situation, is definitely not the case there. I am also disgusted by those enclosures.

Am I the only one who thinks the pandas have so little room to roam about? 😥
@Localtraveler237620 күн бұрын
Doesn’t really matter because no one cares what you think. This is a state of the art facility. Without efforts if people like this pandas would be extinct today. They are obviously well cared for and healthy. But if your that concerned I’m sure they would love your funding to build a larger habitat.
@absolutecynic20 күн бұрын
Nope, you're not. And I don't know which Kool Aid flavor Localtraveler2376 has been sniffing, but that's definitely not SOTA. There are a lot of amazing things in and about Japan, but the way they handle zoo animals and pets (at least in pet stores) is definitely not one of them. And that has nothing to do with lack of funding.

I understand your concern. I hope they’re given plenty of space and care behind the scenes!

Thanks for another great video. However, as was commented earlier, some of the spaces seem rather small and constraining for the Pandas, Cheetahs, etc. I know sometimes space must be at a premium, but they need to expand these areas and have space for the Pandas outside. Otherwise, thank you as it was enlightening as always and fun to watch. FYI, there are plenty of situations like this in the U.S. with animals in enclosures.
@lingyap7918 күн бұрын
Total concrete jungle... it doesn't allow ample space for the animals esp the pandas. I've visited countries with the enclosures that mimics the wild nature and habitat for the pandas. This one is horrifying with dirty concrete flooring and wilted bamboo leaves. Sorry to say but this one looks depressing. This is different than the Ueno zoo or even at Everland Park in S.Korea.
@besteseker993715 күн бұрын
The environment of this park for animals is noisy. There are a lot of music noise there. In my country , there is a natural life park. For animals the environment is quiet and large. Thank you for your experience film.

Panda enclosure here in Malaysia is massive, like they have like an entire area dedicated to the Pandas. Sad to see how the Pandas are treated in Japan. Hope they improve someday
@chiaras651618 күн бұрын
Those poor cheetas didn't have any space to run 😢 and we're talking about earth's fastest mammals. Many of the animals showed behaviour tipical of depression. People should never support this types of zoo where the animals lives in small, dirty or overcrowded spaces. For pandas, I understand that this is their best living conditions because they can't thrive in nature, but at least they should have a private space where they can sleep in peace and darkness like every living being need

Pandas are beautiful animals it’s a shame their enclosures are not very big .Enjoyed your video thank you ❤
I have never been in a Zoo in Japan, and after seeing this one, I think that Japan shouldnt have Zoos. The enclosures for the animals are horrible and much to small. Not enough nature and really not animal friendly.

I have enjoyed most of your videos but this was the first time I was appalled and disappointed. The pandas are kept in tiny little concrete boxes indoors - they must be bored out of their skulls. These are highly intelligent animals that would probably roam large areas of wilderness if they could. Same thing with the leopards, the primates, the rhinos, all of them. Why are humans keeping these wild animals in captivity for their own amusement? Please don't support these kinds of businesses.
@lameowizard20 күн бұрын
Pandas are certainly not highly intelligent creatures. They cannot survive in the wild and their survival heavily depends on human intervention and support due to their notorious mating schedules.
@ohheyitskevinc20 күн бұрын
Well said. To make it worse, they’re bred in captivity. Even the panda bento tried to escape at 3:38 which I found.. ironic.
@poppinmunchkin20 күн бұрын
Japan has so much freaking space. At the very least, give the animals enough room to actually exercise somewhat. The pandas specifically lacked enrichment as well. There was no natural grass, actual trees and enough toys. Just some crappy balls. I will give having pandas in captivity a pass since they would be super extinct otherwise ='] Other than that, animals are not entertainment.

We usually LOVE your videos, but this is the saddest thing we've ever seen from you. Please don't support zoos, especially ones where the facilities are so filthy, stark, and unnatural. They put more care into the money making shops and food hall than the panda enclosures. The behaviour of the pandas, cheetahs, etc was unnatural and sad. Humans can be monstrous. 😢
@ingredientsbylouise19 күн бұрын
Yes, the behaviour of the animals was so indicative of their boredom and the stress they were under, living in such a confined setting and being under constant scrutiny. Horrible that people are using these animals for profit and entertainment.
