When I moved to NC, I came down I-40 from Tennessee with a fully loaded cargo trailer (only 7,000lbs total), in the rain. You can't let your attention wander for a second.

Hey Marv just want to thank you for pushing your Channel to the next LVL. The audioquality with these new Microfones is insanely good. Now we hear what you hear. Now we experience what it means when you say: The Truck is loud. The Jakes making hella noise... but in a very good way!! That was so much fun to watch today...
@presy_jay5 ай бұрын
My upload is incomplete without a comment from Arti! There he is! Appreciate your feedback as always. I'll definitely start using the mic moving forward. The mic was only on level 2 out of 5, BTW. I'll try it on level 3 or 4 next time. Level 5 might be too loud.

I've driven this stretch of road twice and I absolutely love it!! The smokie mountains are my happy place. (Cade's cove campground) The first time I did this stretch of road was in my minivan and there were a few trucks with overheated brakes. The second time (last summer) I drove this stretch was in a rented 30 foot Class C RV. I was worried about overheating brakes but the RV had a very good engine brake that kept the speed exactly where I needed it the entire time. I barely touched the brakes the whole way down, i was VERY impressed! Thanks for taking us along for the ride!!

Think I'll be using the mic a lot more moving forward. I couldn't get good audio from the front camera facing the road before, without yelling. I sit too far away. The mic solved that issue. 🔥

The most dangerous part about I-40 is the Carolinians that use it.😂😂😂

As a resident of NC, I can't say I disagree with you. NC drivers are the absolute wost drivers in terms of merging on a freeway. They love passing on the right too.

Never understood the term until I became one. Now I do. You'd be surprised how much influence we have on others, though. I get the daily messages on tiktok/ig, so I know. I see the back end of my analytics when I post an item on my tiktok, and within 24 hrs, the item is sold out. That's influence!
@hankhill32635 ай бұрын
No offense driver, but I just don't understand all these newer generation drivers - why do you split the gears on the low side? You're just putting more wear and tear on your truck splitting them gears on the low side on mostly flat ground... plus splitting all them gears reduces your fuel mileage and why? Just because they think it sounds cool??? And why the constant use of the engine brake? Slowing you down at every single stop is NOT what an engine brake is for... sorry, you seem like a nice guy but you need to think about your business instead of just trying to look or sound cool, I wish you the best driver
@presy_jay5 ай бұрын
Where do you get your information from? You sound like one of those guys who still have some old myth in your brain that you inherited from someone who didn't know what they were talking about. Splitting the gears DOES NOT put more wear and tear on your truck. Not knowing how to shift does! The truck was designed to be driven that way. Skipping gears is a driver's preference! As for your next myth. Why should I use my service brakes to stop when I can use my jake brake. I can tell you're one of those guys who change brakes annually. I'm assuming you're one of those guys who never really mastered how to shift with the jake brake on, so you flip the switch on/off every second. Everyone has their own driving style/technique. I own the truck, and I will continue to drive it my way. When it comes to shifting this bad boy, trust me, I'm golden! 12 years in as on owner operator, zero accidents, zero moving violations, and over 1.5 million miles. I'm doing something right! I don't let others dictate how I run my show! So, respectful, thanks, but no thanks, bud! And please don't tell me you've been driving for 40 years, that's irrelevant to me. I know what I'm capable of when I sit behind the wheel!
@hankhill32635 ай бұрын
@presy_jay you go greenhorn - I've owned and operated my own for 37 years, I've forgotten more than you'll ever know, keeo doing that dumbass shit - its your money you'll be spending on the repairs, and YES, IT DOES put more wear and tear on your entire driveline everytime you shift an extra gear for no reason, especially when you morons shift with a jake brake, as for my brakes - I run heavy haul grossing around 130,000 lbs. and replace brakes my trucks maybe once every 4 years... I fire drivers like you if I catch them doing the dumbass shit you do. Now, dry the afterbirth from behing them greenhorn ears, forgetvwhatever they taught you at the Swift truck driving academy, and come back at me when you got 37 years experience, bern around trucks your entire life and have over 4 million accident free miles - I tried to come at you respectfully but you had to take it to a nother level, whatever - you do you, as I said before, you're the one gonna pay for the repairs, might wanna talk to a mechanic before you spout off about things you obviously know nothing about
