Riding through the Forest of Bowland on my BMW GSA 1250

A re-visit to the Forest of Bowland, also known as the Trough of Bowland just over the North Yorkshire border and into Lancashire. Join me whilst I explore the beautifully kept villages and ride over the rugged and barren Moorland between Slaidburn & Quernmore & Bentham & Slaidburn on the return journey. Often overlooked in favour of North Yorkshire, however it's a hidden gem and very popular with motorcyclists.

I am enjoying your vlogs, for two reasons, I too live in North Yorkshire so I recognise many of the places you visit, and you give me inspiration to revisit some of the lovely places we have in the area. Gareth, many thanks indeed for the kind comments. Yes, I like to ride at a pace which allows me to take in my surroundings rather than them just flashing by. So many stunning locations to ride in the UK and yet far too often they get overlooked. If my videos are inspiring others to visit these areas after watching my videos then that works for me. Totally agree, can never see the point of people belting around such glorious countryside as we have in this country - they surely can’t get to see much of it! I’ll be stopping overnight at Barnard Castle two weeks tomorrow, on my way up to Scotland - can’t wait! Great video, and thanks for sharing. Regards, Paul

Good video, the Forest used to be my back yard as I lived in Chipping near Clitheroe, good memories. Now live near Hexham so I’m a bit spoilt for riding choice for me and my 1250 Exclusive.

Kieron, many thanks for the message. Would you like me to do a video of the installation, it’s quite basic but seems to work well? Sometimes it’s easier to demonstrate visually rather than try and just verbally explain.
