Since you were able to make it to the bridge, I think an awesome ride would be to Rattlesnake Bar. Then ride the trails back along the lake back to Beal's Pointe. That would be awesome to see. As a teenager in the 80s, young adult in 90s, we used to go to the west side of Forresthill Bridge jand climb the I beams to get on the catwalk. You can then walk over to the pillars and there are ladders that lead down to them. We used to hangout after playing in the confluence downstream. Had plenty of awesome summers there.

I do most of my riding on rural WI roads. Because of that I wear a fluorescent yellow shirt with glow strips for night riding, I have a flashing rear facing white strobe light on the top of my helmet, and a 1200 lumen flashing headlight so I can be seen. Having ridden a motorcycle I know the biggest concern is being seen. I think I have that remedied for my bike riding. Be safe out there.

Excellent vid once more, Lee. You're lucky to live where you do. I looked into my crystal ball this morning. I saw some drone shots in your future videos. 😏

Awesome video. I'm in Roseville so one day I will head up that way. We are ordering a couple Furious bikes and they won't be in until around November. The Wired bike looks like a very good option as well. The second battery would be good when going on long rides.

Beautiful! Awesome ride; that's exactly the type of riding I hope to do when my bike arrives - just cruising at 20 mph is perfect. On my current recumbent trike cruising at 12 mph is normal, but riding on those rides would be more stressful. The WIRED is perfect for exploring in town. Love the content; great to see where people ride.That's a beautiful part of CA. Thanks for posting; be safe out there.

Nice ride, you definitely need the dual battery Freedom! Btw, the next e cell fail may be rear loaded death wobble on the dual star bikes. Some bikes will have a death wobble when weighted in back, like the Lectric xpeak, and the 5 star seems prone to this from Facebook posts. Adding the weight of a second battery might be the straw that broke the camels back. How would they know? They have never tested one and the AWD versions wouldn’t create the issue because of the weight and pull of the front motor. Can’t believe they sell bikes they have not tested. Relying on the Chinese to design the frame geometry is foolish. The gates drive and torque sensor are bad jokes as is the con man owner.

these bikes don’t seem to have much handlebar room if you wanted to add accessories like a brighter headlight, turn signals, dual mirrors (not on the ends but on the bar), a phone holder and a camera mount all at the same time. that might require shopping around for a different handlebar since an extender might not be enough. 🤔
@leetjohnson2 ай бұрын
Yeah, if you want to add a bunch of different accessories to the bars, you may need to get bigger bars or a different style.

Great ride along video, question for you is how to reset the trip odometer to zero? Also, for the tires do you use tannus tire protection liner or flat our out or slime?
@leetjohnson2 ай бұрын
Thank you! In order to reset the trip odometer, simply start up the bike, wait about 10 seconds and the press the up and down buttons (pas control buttons) at the same time for 3 to 5 seconds. I don't use any flat-out or tennis liners, but I do bring along an electric pump and tube patch kits for the longer rides.

This is a cool ride.. I want a bike that I can go 40 miles with.. I do have a route planned that takes me in the mountains.. It is 15 miles one way so 30 miles and that should keep my battery from getting too low..

@@leetjohnson If I do get the new Freedom I will get 2 rear view mirrors just because I like them symmetrical and I will have them stick up rather than out.. I just know that if they stick out they will catch something.. I would imagine that new controller will be more efficient than the one you have as well so might be able get more performance and more miles.. My ride would be similar in that I would be biking into the mountains and then going downhill on my way back so I would imagine that if the battery has 5 bars then I probably could take it down to just hitting 2 bars then return home.. I should just gradually see how far I can go but I am sure that I would want to go as far as I could right off the bat;)

@@leetjohnson awesome! I could very use that thing right now because I Just got back from a long day of grad party hopping on my e-bike and I got a total mileage of 26.7! On my range test I did a few days ago of riding my current ebike not the freedom yet I wanted to see how much I would get outta the mileage full to dead and it equaled out to about 16 miles. I wouldn’t have been able to do the distance that did today if I didn’t have my charger along which is why that freedom is that much important to have if not an annioki or some other long range e-bike that can do those distances too and that’s the biggest thing I’ve come to learn when getting e-bikes is that once you ride a little bit you’ll want to ride further and I felt that a that struggle of having a smaller capacity battery today. My freedom can’t come sooner enough right now.
