During their epic trip through the Americas, the American Fútbol Movie guys stopped in some of the game's hottest spots en route to Brazil. The trip culminated in coming home to New England and finding the Midnight Riders, the premier supporter's group of the New England Revolution. With the Revs in LA for the 2014 MLS Cup, they explored why Boston is one of America's most promising soccer markets.

I agree but it just simply will not ever happen. Kraft won’t fork out for it and I don’t blame him. Let me give you an example of how things work in Boston: Near my old apartment there was a bridge with a subway station below. They decided to build a staircase from the side of the bridge to the station. One staircase, maybe 20 feet high took 2+ years and probably millions of dollars over budget to complete. For a flight of stairs. Now imagine it’s an entire stadium. They have to buy land-insane prices. Pay for construction costs-infathomable amounts of money in union contracts. There just is not enough money in the world to make it viable let alone profitable. Soccer stadium in Boston will never happen. Take it to the bank. Never.

I'm just glad you guys have caught the bug for the beautiful game you guys add a freshness to the best sport in the world, you had an excellent World Cup campaign and I hope the MLS keeps growing which I have no doubt it will. It is a shame New York and Seattle didn't make the final as this would have been a better Spectacle. 70,000 fans in the stadium with passionate Seattle fans and New York a big market. LA and New England have good teams but there fan culture is not as passionate. New England often play in a half empty stadium.
