My bikes almost identical. Agree about the shaft but this particular shaft is clever technology that prevents some of the negatives like trying to rise up every time power is applied. Apart from the fuel tank capacity she's beautiful. This review was instrumental in my choice BTW

That intro actually worked out quite funny, despite my initial irritation of not getting straight on to the K. 😂👍

Definitely don’t need to adjust or change sprockets and chains every 6 months!! Also for shaft drive there is maintenance of the shaft drive itself. Changing the oil for the shaft drive does involve parting with money.

Thanks Stu, not too many twisties here in Perth, a few in what we call the hills and South of Perth around 3 hours away.

Great North Highway from Bullsbrook to Bindoon, then via Dewars Pool Road to Toodyay was about all I could find in 4 years. Not many other good roads near Perth - so I moved to Sydney... :-)

Me too. Did you get it?
@chrissmith76692 жыл бұрын
@@EEEBA1 never did. Due having to administer an estate I’m currently holding a Street Bob & Sportster from Harley. Once the paperwork settles I’ll be looking to get a K bike. As much as the K16 series is better it’s also heavier and more expensive. The K13 is still the top sport-touring machine in my book.
@EEEBA12 жыл бұрын
@@chrissmith7669 I see. Yeah I agree. BMW should start making them again.
@chrissmith76692 жыл бұрын
@@EEEBA1 there’s too large a gap between the S1000 & K1600 range. The K13 was Goldilocks, just right.

Great review however if you take it on the motorway and change through the suspension settings you will notice the difference.
