I haven't read any of the comments yet so someone may have mentioned something similar but in regards to you seeing 2 Love's across the street from each other: a few years ago I used to work for a McDonald's franchisee that owned I think nearly 30 locations. I never worked for their "Toll Road" stores but I've heard that they have a McDonald's, a Dairy Queen and a small Travel/Souvenir store/Truck stop along the Northern Indiana Toll Road interstate 80/90. They had one location on the north side of the expressway for Westbound traffic heading towards Chicago and they had a duplicate of everything on the south side for the Westbound so that you don't have to exit to turn around and come back you just simply have easy access especially if you're in an 18-wheeler and on a time schedule you don't have time to turn off at the next exit, come back to McDonald's and then get back on the expressway and get off at the next exit to turn around and come back the way you were originally going. Another thing is the truck stop locations didn't sell Happy Meals, didn't sell single hamburger/cheeseburgers only Big Macs and Quarter Pounders and larger sandwiches "because truck drivers need to get as many calories as possible". It's been like 15 years since I worked for that franchisee. Also they didn't sell ice cream from McDonald's because there was a Dairy Queen in the same travel stop owned by the same owner/operator. Been watchin your videos for about a week now on my FireStick youtube app this is the first time I've commented on a video, didn't think I was sub'd yet but my phone says I am. Keep truckin Dave, love watchin whatever you put out even if I watch out of order lol. I'm not a truck driver but I do enjoy you vlogs!

Exactly people will always try and squeeze in until they see the truck is veering to the next lane
@soggybogwitch3 жыл бұрын
@@RvtwrldReacts I really don't understand it. If not just for common courtesy, you'd think self-preservation at least would push you to just let the gargantuan truck win.
@OptimalGraphix3 жыл бұрын
@@soggybogwitch probably because atleast several times a day I see trucks leaving there turn signals on for miles so you end up ignoring them sometimes
@Bendigo13 жыл бұрын
First you ask to move over with the turn signal. if that doesn't work you suggest that your moving over by starting to move over but stay in your lane. If that doesn't work you tell them you are moving over by actually starying to move over. At that point they usually get the idea.

Auto lock. But I was taught to give it a tug test just to make sure
@Bendigo13 жыл бұрын
Some trailers have handles that you have to lift and lower to un lock and lock the tandems. Others have a button valve that you have to pull to unlock the tandems but when the parking brake is released on the trailer the button valve is supposed to automatically lock again.
@RidingWithDave3 жыл бұрын
They do not auto lock on our trailers. Once released, then we get in the cab and slide. But you must go back out and pull the bar again so then they will lock back in.

There's a larger town about 40 miles away from me and it's on the way to the to metro area of the state just 30 miles before the metro so it gets busy and there's 5 holiday gas stations right next to each other 2 on the west side of 35 and 3 on the east then you go farther into the actual town area not just by all the businesses off of 35 and there's 2 more holidays and once you leave and take the highway out of town not going east ( not 35 the freeway) just right out of the city limits there's a fucking another one. So all together in less than 4 straight miles there's 8 holiday gas stations! That's not the only kind franchise there too there's a few more stations also. Even though it's a busy city and the largest city in 70 miles it's still only > 11,000 people.
