Ridley From Glitch Techs: Having No Friends Better Than The Owl House and The Ghost and Molly McGee

It happens a lot: we meet a character with no friends, only for them to get some fairly early in the series. That's okay. But when The Owl House tries to tell me that Luz Noceda has no friends, or when The Ghost and Molly McGee tells me Molly is in ANY way nervous about making friends, that's going too far. It looks like Glitch Techs is going to have to show Disney how it's done.
And Ridley is easily the character for Glitch Techs to show off. Yes, we the audience love her, but let's just say that she's not ready to join the Glitch Techs team yet. Ridley has had a tough time with friendship in the past, and Glitch Techs isn't afraid to let her show it either.

The same thing that happens with Luz and Molly also happens with Sprig on Amphibia - in an early (maybe second?) episode he's presented as someone who doesn't have any friends, but that angle is pretty much dropped as the show goes on. He's not the main character, but he is kinda the outgoing, openly emotional boy character archetype (like Oscar or Steven or KO), so it's a bit odd to present him - and not, say, his sister - as the social outcast.

To be fair, it sounded like Molly had a lot of friends wherever she moved And I don’t think Dana wanted Luz to be friendless for long

Reggie from 12 Forever. It's genuinely hard to believe she has a friend. Especially by the end of the series. I understand she's on a spectrum and that makes empathy difficult for her... But she kinda takes things so far all the time and needs professional treatment

The creators make the character be of the social outcast ilk so that socially outcast children will like the character more and not find them as annoying. However one of my friends said they think Luz is annoying? Usually in real life, the only reason a good kid doesn't have a lot of friends is they don't speak the language or are very shy. Or they move around a lot or just moved to the country or whatever. But owl house does show how even though Luz is trying to be good, she tends to screw people over a lot.

Luz in the first eps looks like someone that would get bored easy and will come up with ways to entertain herself, this could be very annoying. for example your in class trying to focus, and she interrupt or in cheer squad and she interrupt. this can be very not fun for the person that likes that class or someone that like cheer squad to them she is ruining ther fun . in the first few ep this same behavior almost gets her kill, the first two times she had to be save by the owl lady . then she kind force herself onto Willow, kind of taking advantage the fact that Willow need help, than when she meet Gus, it just by luck that Gus is a big fan of Humans, then only getting luck that both Willow and gus where not kick out of school. with this being say Luz dose have a lot of luck but then most main characters do, but then if the main characters would not do thing that would put themselves in danger or do other stuff the show would be kind of boring. same thing happens with Anna and Spring do the same, they should be dead due to just how much stuff they do in the early season. the same thing goes with Dipper and Mable, they get lucky and are able to fix things by the end of the eps due to this is what the story is need, but if things would work like real life the show would be boring or way to sad.

It's very implied that Luz was very insecure and didn't even try to be friends with the kids she view as cool, in "yesterday's lie" we learn that V went to the camp instead of Luz and befriended all of them (they liked her becouse she was wierd) after Luz sees that is not like she regrets going to the boiling isles bit you can tell that she rethinked some stuff, specially when Camila got upset that Luz chose to do things this way. Yeah some characters are better since they met her, but "Belos" maybe wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for Luz to begin with.
