You can also remove the EGR valve too. I removed my downpipe, cut off the tube that led to the EGR valve, and welded a hole over it. I then put a small cone air filter over the tube that led to the airbox, so I have a better air intake. The low down torque is reduced, but it accelerates much better in the other gears.

QTMagic do you have any pictures that could help? Sorry for necroposting, just asking because i have in my airbox 2 ”intakes” or tubes that goes in, one of the tubes goes staight to the side of the cylinder ”head” or whats it called on a fourstroke, and the other one was ”topped of” and i dont know where that one goes.

The air filter in the mrt not mrt pro isnt the same ive just baught a 18plate one with 1500 miles on it like new noticed the wires were uncliped so checked airfilter because wanted to put it back to standard as ive only got 3 points left😂 clipped them back together n noticed it starts alot easier firts time everytime n ticks over fine now it was reving up a little on it own idling wen the wires werent connected just thaughy id let everyone know incase have same problem do you know what the wires are for buddy n thanks for the upload i wouldnt of known how to fix otherwise 😁👍👊

hi, 2 year late but yeah he is disconnectiong the limited CDI or ECU or whatever its called, not rev limiter, speed limiter is my believe

Oh hi, how nice of you commenting/answering, despite it being such an old comment of mine - it did brighten up my day to see this so thank you :D Speed limiter? based on the rear wheel speedometer reading? I wouldn’t have thought that the ECU get’s speed information at all, but only engine rpm from a sensor at the crankcase, but I actually really don’t know. I might search a little on where wich wires are going on mine (i’ll post it here if I get to know more about what exactly it’s doing), but nonetheless, thanks for the answer of yours - have a nice one

I have this motorbike and it doesn't make any difference if these wires are connected or not. When it comes to air-filter in mine there is motocross type foam without any plastic restrictors, but I saw in some manuals paper filter like in yours, so removing this should increase power indeed. The question is: If mine with OE foam claims has 15HP, what is power of yours with paper filter and restrictor?

No. The way to de restrict the 50cc is to increase the main jet size and change the front sprocket for one with an extra tooth.

I know the video is old and i might not get an answer, but, are you sure there's no need to tune the carburetor after doing that? Increasing air intake without doing so won't put to much air on the mix?

You have to increase the main jet size. Think about a 124.

It is the same as on the video, remember the bike also has exhaust restrictions

It came from the factory/dealers as a 200cc I have capped the ais.

As i have not even used my dealer derestricted rieju 50 yet i did pay the dealer £50 as the egr is still on the bike i think they may have done what you have said. I know that tecno gas enox says you can fit there complete exhaust without altering the jets have you heard of that also your above full power you say you take off the blanking plate on filter and the wire in the ecu and thats it what difference in speed would that make when thats done in bhp terms, as i know you do mention you can change the exhaust.

The video is for the 4 stroke engine fitted to the 200 and 125 cc bikes. The 50cc is a different engine and is restricted differently.

The bike will run fine without being tuned or having an aftermarket exhaust. However they do run a bit lean stock so a slight increase in the main jet size may improve the performance a little.

The way to de restrict the 50cc is to increase the main jet size and change the front sprocket for one with an extra tooth. There are some other options such as big bore kits different carbs etc. Best bet would be to join the Facebook group 'Rieju worldwide' to get advice from those that have owned the 50cc.

Hi Jam i have one of the last new uk euro two Rieju pro sm 50cc and had it dealer derestricted and it still has the egr valve on the exhaust i notice that you snipped them wires and also took out the filter blanking plate to restore it to full power. You could do this straight away. A small up jet would probably help when you had the time as these bike do run a little lean.

Well the 125cc comes with a 122 main jet and the 200cc comes with a 128 main jet so if its the 125cc maybe 124-125 main jet would work

you might wanna try those bigger jets as suggested in the video. Your engine gets more air now and air/fuel ratio is off the balance.

No it is a black and white wire next to the airbox on the RS3 slightly different airbox restrictors.
