While comedic in looking back to those days, nothing has changed. Love when cool kids get comeuppance later in life. Get fat, ugly, become dissatisfied with life. Meanwhile, the average kids go on to bloom and hit it out of the park.

I thought the narrator was a horrible human being, until we met Marion's mother. Carrie White had a more loving, sympathetic mom.

Mom being terrible doesn't make the narrator any less of a piece of crap.

The most life-affirming portrait of a relationship between mom and daughter since "night, mother"!

It would have been amazing if this was a series highlighting all the angst and disappointments of this young lady's life. Peer pressure, booze, unwanted pregnancy. The works.

First of all, what kind of high-schooler thinks "you know what kind of kick ass name our group should be called 'The Clenk'". Second, this oddly makes me feel better about having very friends in school.

I first saw this short with the Rifftrax Friends subscription service. Loved it. Glad it's on youtube now. There are still a ton of good shorts on the Friends service like Color it Clean, Goodbye Weeds, and Fashion Horizons. Well worth subscribing for a few months to see. Then I purchased some of my very favorites of the bunch. I HIGHLY recommend the three Drawing for Beginners shorts. They're perfect riffing fodder.

The next day Marian took her dad's Infantry riffle and went to the clock tower. As she loaded the the weapon Marian noticed the notches on the side. "Dad's count was 20,huh?" She thought to herself. "Well then, let's see if we can top that....." and with a dead, emotionless eyes this lonely quite girl focused on the ones that betrayed her....and squeezed.
