If you're looking for a smaller / shorter/ compact format high-power variable scope, the Eotech Vudu 5-25x50 is only 11.2 inches long, with a 34mm main tube and 4 different reticles to have... the only downside is the price...it's not cheap. It looks almost toy-like, especially on a bigger rifle... but it IS a quality scope...

@@DreamConundrum you are right, where and how I mostly hunt, 6x fixed is superior, I do own many rifles and the truth, most wear a quality variable that serves me well, I just wished I own more than one 6x meopta.
