That escalated quickly! This iteration of the system looks brutal with having to manage retreating everyone off. Almost makes you hope for double hits so your soldier is killed instead of pinned. Horrifying. I may need to play with a kinder POW rule else I'll never win. 🤣 I think you forgot to roll for that Blitzkrieging HMG's last turn order. He may have decided to move forward again for the second unit across the line. Anxiously waiting for this to appear on Amazon.

@@UncleFloydWing Yeah I knew the Playthrough was taking a long time so I rushed the second video a little. I agree about the KIA v Injured/Pinned - it’s tough.

Very entertaining! I like how you've configured it to be both a defensive action and a fighting withdrawal. The short backstories for the British units are a nice touch. The bunkers appear to be a better deal for the Player here than the Germans in Omaha (they tend to retreat out of them if Pinned). Is that an iteration or a tweak to help the Player?

@@plugger350 Thanks. I’m not quite sure what you mean about the bunkers. The Germans here don’t retreat and so if they get into a bunker it’s going to be hard to shift them. Obviously, the player will only retreat if they want to. Cheers, Mike

@@mikelambosolitairebookgames Hi Mike, Bunker wise it was an observation that in Omaha you could pin the Germans in their bunkers and they would often subsequently retreat out of them whereas bunkers here appear to be a tougher nut to crack. I really like your choice of setting. You could have taken your Squad system and applied to any number of conventional WW2 conflict zones but you've gone with something a bit off-beat and it's probably a more engaging game because of it. Dad's army versus the Germans!

@@plugger350 Ah yes, sorry, I’m with you - yes, in that respect bunkers are tricky if you let the Germans get into them. Thanks - I’ll probably use the system again because I agree that it could fit many different settings. Cheers.
