I actually think Stephen's superficial mindset is pretty creative in a sense. By picking what looks good and ending up with a bunch of random specifications that may not traditionally "work", you do end up with your own unique sound. Rather the than looking for the tone, you let the tone find you. Who knows, you may even learn to love it.
@stewartdukepoo76848 жыл бұрын
+KDowah thats how I feel about ESP guitars and Peavey amps, they always sound good together no matter the model(s)
@tyengle84788 жыл бұрын
Peavy amps sound straight awesome!
@cavewormetalparty8 жыл бұрын
+KDowah Amen to that. my lil Kustom dual 30RC has the most ASSAULTING, disgusting dirty tone & I felt, at the middle school age, that I HAD to get a pedal to "clean it up". Nowadays, I see the amp's tone as a superb raw black metal/grindcore/crust punk voicing. Guess I had to become a better player to understand,appreciate,&utlilize a "bad" tone
@samwich8528 жыл бұрын
+KDowah , yeah I guess... I personally feel he's expressing what a lot of guitar players are like, myself included: you try to rationalize the functionality of a piece of gear for having spent X amount of dollars on it, but often times you buy it because it's pretty and shiny.
@KDowah8 жыл бұрын
Sam Love Oh yeah, I get that he's just bought whatever looks cool. I just think it's unintentionally affected the tonal development of the band. A happy coincidence, sure, but you can't argue with the results. They sound better than ever.
