These guys are creative as hell. As a listener I never questioned how they got their sounds, because the songs stand alone. I admire that they use all the tools in a musical way vs noise

This is probably the best rig rundown. Guitarists actually showcase their gear and show examples of how everything works and how it is actually used, rather than just pointing out and naming off everything.

Mad respect for these guys. The line 6 pedal is not an easy one to understand. I would honestly use a computer program to launch all of the loops... but thats just me. I remember seeing them play years back and was extremely impressed

+sutop1255 the looper is easy to understand on it. its just all the different delays that get confusing. i use it as a delay occasionally. my main delay is a straight simple DM-2

People really need to not judge these guys unless they know their music. "Funny noises" is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen someone call Dave's music. I actually WOULD consider Dave to be a better guitarist than Jimmy Page. At least he doesn't rip off his riffs from forgotten blues artists. I like Zeppelin, too. Just saying...

If you dont like the band why complain and give biased opinions...just kick rocks. Loops and effects pedals aren't for everyone but either way this bands sound is unique. When you here it you know its MTB and I'd rather be in a band like that then all these bands that play the same sounding shit as all the other bands in the genre. I love circa survive and minus the bear and they both use a lot of effects but sound nothing like each other. I'm super proud of these guys and they always keep me inspired to be more creative. Much love and respect to all these guys.

I know haha. I'm a big fan of Page. One of the reasons I learned to play guitar in the first place. But, despite being nobodies in comparison, I think they more creative, nonetheless. Even without their DL4s. If anyone doesn't believe me, they should listen to Highly Refined Pirates. The fingerstyle sounds Dave makes are incredible and practically flawless.

Not always. If you have a heavily mid pronounced bass with a great distance between the two pu's, the scoop might be enormous. I once had to boost my mids almost up until 8 (on a 1-10 scale), to regain them. And furthermore, it's not the same "mid experience".
