so honest and candid. One of my favorite bands and he is the perfect foil for Les . . . Les has to dominate a band/sound (that is not an insult, I have traveled to 4 states to see him in various formations for 10 shows in past 5 years) and Ler is more laid back and happy to add to without taking over. This video can only make you like him more.

I wish he would be more proud of his time with Possessed, but I enjoy Primus too.
@coalhalo7 жыл бұрын
Kelly Moon I'm fairly confident that he doesn't have a problem with his history, but he's definitely moved on from what he did in high school. For me, "Seven Churches" is an amazing record and really made a huge impression on me and my friends when it came out. And the follow-up "Beyond The Gates" is also fantastic, but often overlooked and underrated by many. I remember the first time I heard of Primus, it was when the put out the "Frizzle Fry" album around 1990, and I saw that the guitar player was named Larry LeLonde. It's a fairly unusual name, and Primus is a Bay Area band as was Possessed, but I wasn't sure if it was the same guy. And since this was before the internet, I didn't have a way to just look it up. It wasn't until the next Primus album came out and they got big on MTV did I know for sure it was the same guy.

I so love Larry's experimental attitude toward sounds. It's one thing if someone wants to stick with a small palette of sounds for some artistic reason, but I simply don't understand electric guitarists who criticize other electric guitarists who try exploit the different possibilities of sound available. If you play with both your hands and feet, the electric guitar can become an amazing thing. And look how much fun Larry has with it! :)

The neck profile or "shape" that Larry likes on his American Deluxe Strats are a "medium" which is what he prefers. Not either backwards; fat on one side and shrunk all the way down. Or too thick like a "V"-shape when your thumb hits the back peak of the neck.

I like the two-point stud-mounted tremolo bridge that Larry has on all of his Fender Strats, but I don use the Floyd Rose at all.
