Sweet rig dude! Love your set-up. Definitely gives me ideas for my '98 soft top tj. I would love to have a rack like yours (haha). I know you mentioned it was a custom build. Are you willing to share specs and mounts? That's my next upgrade. Cheers to happy times on the trails dude!
@CBOverland3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I will absolutely share what I learned building the rack. The tops were my biggest struggle, so we decided to loose the windows and keep the safari top. 🤣 The mounts are motorcycle handlebar riser bushing sets in 1” tube, with shock tab mounts on the rack/cage. Haven’t found a good way to keep a top and avoid an “exo” cage rack.

Go to a parts yard and grab a ford 8.8, along with the calipers and rotors.. I paid $180 for one - pulled. Regearing it will suck, but its beast! You will also need to put another locker in, but you can sell your dana 35 easy. I have an LS swap and 4:88 gears, and I can spin 35s on pavement.

THE MUSIC! Nice rig and fun to watch - but the music! first too load and second toooo happy. You do not need that, if you have something serious to tell, what you have. PS: If you do not have an excellent lens on your cam, you are better of, when filming with the sun in the back + you have a better light in that case as well. And better contrast.

Most recently, (March 2020) Chelsea was an AGM for a gaming, restaurant and bar group in Las Vegas and I tended bar at a French restaurant on the Strip, DJ weddings, write cocktail menus, and mobile mechanic. Our careers deemed non essential, crushing our industry, and rendering those skills down to the crunchy stuff at the bottom of the pan. 🥓

Cool jeep. Yall running the stock gas tank? And what made yall go with a TJ vs like a YJ or JK jeep wangler.
@CBOverland3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It is the stock 19 gal tank. I found the 98 TJ was my happy place in vehicle systems and overall price. Solid 4.0, coil sprung, and still relatively minimal electronics. A JK was out of our price range and honestly, I couldn’t find a yj that ran worth a crap at the time. 🤣 -B

@CBOverland3 жыл бұрын
Mpg towing full kit has been avg 10-12. 19 gallon tank, 35’s, 4:56, screamin demon spark sys, ax15, magnaflow exhaust. And the hubs help not turning the front diff on hwy. We haven’t put enough miles on unloaded to get city/hwy numbers. Gulping down fuel we store 4 gallons on the Jeep and an additional 10 on the trailer.
