Can you start some RigExpert beginner videos? I'm very new but bought the AA-35 Zoom in hopes to learn. Any learning links you can provide? I am interested in making Coax Jumpers right now. I've seen people "zero" them out with an MFJ analyzer but it's different than this one. I'll be re-tuning a 4 Element Yagi as my meter showed good but really wasn't. Now that I have the RigExpert I'm hoping to learn!

I just bought a used Yaesu FT1000MP. I plan on putting up a Hustler 6btv antenna and a ZS6BKW antenna. I may end up buying a mobile rig like a Yaesu 891 in the future and I will most likely put up a 102" stainless whip for CB, What analyzer would you recommend?

So can you do tuning with the AA-35 or do you have to manually make adjustments to the antenna to tune ? I got mine today from DX engineering now I'm trying to get as much info on how to use it properly .

Can you set it to beep in real time so you can hear when it’s at the lowest SWR while you’re adjusting the antenna and the meter is at the far end of the cable at the transceiver?

What is the difference between the rigexpert AA-35 zoom and the AA-55 zoom. I'm looking to get one of the two but don't know which one would be best for me. I'm only going to run on 10m and 11m.

PL-239 is often refereed to as a UHF connector. (while not being to good on UHF frequencies!) I Like my AA-600. Very useful for HF to UHF.

Could you direct my inquiry. And forgive my non-techy question. My dad installed a whip antenna on his roof about 6 foot on a about also 6 foot pole in a 3 foot grounded tripod with LMR 400 coax cable. He cannot get the meter to read below 4 on the roof and 3.1 at ground level stuck in ground. Any help sure would be appreciated.

BTW, your HRCR discount code no longer is valid. They may have put a time limit on it. One thing I have learned is that often the 5% discount codes end up costing the end consumer more $$$ in the end because the discount applied removes the Free Shipping over $99 discount as well. That has burned me a couple of times, but always check it both ways now. I bought their Explorer Portable Battery Box a few days after their Black Friday Sale discount expired. Then a week after I bought it their $20 off Christmas sale started. I digress AND I simply enjoy what I buy anyway. I decided to get the AA-35 Zoom because I do not have a commercial HF rig, but a lot of Homebrew QRPp gear and a Pennteck TR-35 CW rig for 40-17M. I use 2M & 70CM and GMRS (for communicating with our Camp Hosts at the campgrounds), but almost all are commercial cut antennas and I have a Diawa VSWR meter that usually means loosening a screw with an Allen tool and moving the steel rod 1/4". Nonetheless, Gigaparts still has an AA-35 Zoom still in stock and with the Bundled hard case as well. It will only cost me belaying from buying another QRP radio for another 12 months (I am semi-retired and miss the days of free spending, LOL). Cheers es 72/73, Davey - KU9L
