Love mine. Really great supply !! Has a lot more monitoring features than noted in this evaluation.

Is it better than a linear power supply ? Considering the fan it can raise RFI question.

Put more than one load on that power supply. I'm interested to see how granular the data display gets. Does it do it perport or is it just a cumulative total?

The gang at RigExpert pretty much sets the bar when it comes to design, engineering, and quality. This PS definitely packs some serious amperage for such a small footprint. And this talented group of Ukrainian engineers also sets the bar when it comes to customer service and communicating with us. Imagine the challenge of developing and producing such a nice piece of ham candy while some dufus in Moscow is yeeting missiles at you.

Aside from RF noise that some switching power supplies, is it true that it is possible that it can damage a radio like some suggest? Reason I ask is that I bought an N.O.S. Anytone AT5555N 5 months ago and have using it with a 30 amp switching P.S. like those used for cctv applications in which a lot are been using it with their cb or ham. Anyway, suddenly I lost the RX on my 5555 and some say it might have been my P.S. which I doubt because my HR2510 of 34 years is also using the same P.S. and it's still working fine.

I always ask 36A RMS or Peak? Most ham power supplies quot the peak current so 36A peak is about 25A RMS.

Initially I wanted one of these; I always appreciate power supplies that are well manufactured. Even the price wasn't all that unreasonable. But after looking at it indepth, found it lacks a battery backup input. Although I don't really need battery backup... for the price it should of included that. Not enough there to warrant the price IMO.

Hi, I'm just curious, what do you mean that it doesn't have a battery backup input? I ran a large truck battery through a battery backup switch gate between the power supply and radio, as engineered and intended. Anytime my power supply lost house power, the switch gate would auto provide power to the ham equipment / radios from the large truck battery. When house power returned, the switch gate would automatically switch back to the PSU and also automatically recharge the truck battery.

I recently bought a RigExpert 1500 antenna tuner. Since this company is supposedly based in Ukraine, I am wondering how they are able to run a company with the war going on there. I have been looking at the ShackMaster and will probably buy one. Looks like a solid, handy piece of equipment to own.

I'm surprised to see such low amperage and watts while charging your HT ( .4A with 2W). I wonder if that's the max charge the HT can pull from the USB port? For example, I think most people, including myself, would want the capability to charge a cell phone / tablet etc, which requires 2.4A and 10-12W. That's been the standard for long while. If this PS does not provide that level of power through the USB ports, it's useless as a small device charger.

Does it have 1) fan or inductor noise on small power output for long time 2) noise on long time powering 50w radio? I have one of those popular Alinco switching supplies and it gets hot at 50w and starts to make fan switching noise. Really annoying. Had one of fake yaesu linear supply and that one had fan always on. Tweaked fan resistors and it didn't handle temp passively even few 10s of watts

I ordered one and just received it today. The manual I got said the front and back power pole connectors are 15 A. I looked at the manual on the website says the front power pole connectors are 45 A and the rear are 15 A. Does anybody know what the right answer is? I emailed the company, but haven't heard back yet.

OK...a couple tests please. #1 Check continuity from the ground pin on the 120V power to the common terminal. There should NOT be continuity but most power supplies incorrectly ground the common. #2 Check continuity from the USB shell to ground pin on the 120V -- there SHOULD be continuity as the shield needs a ground to do it's job. #3 Check continuity from the USB shell to pin 4 on the USB connector -- there should NOT be continuity and, unfortunately far too many USB devices ground the shield to the data ground (causing all sorts of RFI on the USB cable). I'm keeping a list of the power supplies on my QRZ page so would like to add this one.

Also...you saw RFI in your shack. If you run on battery and no antenna is that different than power supply + no antenna?

I dunno... Touch screens and menus on a power supply seems more like a case of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should." I do like the power output layout though.

Like the look and if it does 36A, that’s awesome. I don’t mind swiping to go through the menus or display but the lack of a physical on/off switch or button is a miss IMO.
