These saddlebags are made from a waterproof and durable 24oz Tarpaulin PVC featuring electronically heat welded seams. The UV coated outer material cleans easily and prevents slipping or marking. Could these be installed without using the strap over the seat? Instead just securing them to the side mount rack? I'm looking at a Honda NC750x and the fuel access is located under the passenger seat.

Its recommended to have the straps that connect the bags together as if not they could slide down the rack especially with a heavy load and in off road terrain.

1:20 I can't seem to figure out how to get my g-hooks through the D-rings of my 15L rolltop bags... is there a trick to it I'm missing?

@@Nelsonriggusa Eventually, with tons of finagling, the g-hook will fit through the D-ring. May I suggest you make the D-rings about 4-5mm wider?

Most full side racks will work. A quick google search will bring up a lot of options. We use Tusk on our KTM.

They were designed to be mounted to a rack but as long as they are well supported to stay away from any moving or hot parts and you can find secure mounting points for the straps, you should be able to get around it.
