Being a gearhead myself, I truely love seeing bands like animals and Periphery so in tune with their gear and the exact specs of everything. I’m a drummer so I know all the ins and outs about drums and not so much about guitar but learned a lot just listening to tosin and misha speak of their gear. But Garstka and halpern are both super in tune with their drums and gear as well. They each know the exact specs of their shells, what kinda shells, the hardware technology and the cymbals they pick out is specific for exactly what they want and need in this music. You will be surprised how many bands don’t know shit about their gear and just play whatever is in front of them and if someone asks what gear they are using they just take a guess and try to read it right off the gear lol. Not necessarily a bad thing but love seeing musicians and bands like this who know exactly what they are talking about and these are the artists that companies love to endorse cause they are also helping sell their products. Garstka is the reason I bought tama Starclassic BB birch Bubinga hyperdrive kit with the new updated hardware brought down from the star drums and couldn’t be happier with my choice. Best sounding and looking kit I’ve ever heard or played on with the best hardware and mounting technology ever created.

This really makes sense. I own EVH 5150 and a 4x12 but I switched to Helix LT because everytime I go to play a gig I'm the one carrying the gear. If I had crew carrying my stuff I'd use amps and pedals.

Although I'm more of a blues player, this is so inspirational! The guitars, the amp setup. LIKE IT VERY MUCH! I also use a Morgan 20 watt amp for totally different types of music, so cool to see and hear that this amp just takes every style really well.

Rig Rundown neer fails to inspire me to think differently about the gear I use, and ok it tempts me to buy more pedals. I really appreciate the variety in players/bands. How do you choose who appears on a Rig Rundown?

Not even a big fan of the band, just love hearing about Tosin's gear. So interesting and also he seems such a nice guy. Also the playing is pretty great

Stephen Owen yeah I don’t have a lot of patience for the band itself but this guy is clearly a wizard

Jason Litherland I am mixed. I find it a bit oppressive to listen to but the clean stuff Tosin does is just too good to be true.

D'addario sells &-string sets for sure, since I just bought one two days ago, but I think you still have to buy a single if you want 8.
