Really good info.👌 I've also seen some people use some fixed Cheeseboros to mount a candlestick. Only problem is you tear up the metal in the basket as you have to super crank it for the circle part of the boro to grip tight to the square shaped basket metal. Also sometimes doesn't work with smaller square stock in the basket. A piece of truss ratchet strapped underneath is also great option and gives you a lot of room if you don't need to adjust any lights once they are in the air.

Yes, I go to cheeseboros with chips (idk what they’re actually called, they’re just cut up pieces of speedrail) to increase the thickness of the basket rail if needed whenever its a larger light like a 12K or bigger. Much more peace of mind that way. You can also use the Modern Studio speedrail reducers if the rail is thin enough. I haven’t ever underslung with truss, but have seen that a lot of people prefer it.
