I've sailed on old boats from the 1750's a few times, they had their wedges numbered and lettered. So every wedge got on the same place for all three masts.

That's a great idea. I wonder why I've never seen any numbered like that.

Haha thanks buddy love your videos . I just tore mine apart for the first time, only to find that there was nothing! Just a hole under the boot. UGGH, I needed another PROJECT ON THIS BOAT LIKE A HOLE IN THE HEAD!

Your welcome 🫠 The first time I opened mine was because I saw the mast scooting around in the boot while sailing. When I opened it, there was one wedge about to fall out!

I am more than a baby sailor lol. But I love your videos and teaching. My boat does not have the wedges but I did not even know they existed thanks again.

Noticed some fruit flies aboard Put new 10 lb bag of potatoes into a paint strainer bag. These bags are 5 gallon bucket sized, made of white nylon and of a very fine mesh. They sold on line at about $10 for 12 bags I notice these same type small flies in nature, such as if I put something with seaweed on deck to get dried/cleaned Anyway, I'll bet no matter if the fruit fly like critters want to get at or away from air stored fruits and vegetables, or at them, the cheep 5 gallon paint strainer bag will have something to say about it
