On biceps curl with barbell ..The wider grip emphasis more on the inner head of the biceps and closegrip is for the longer head.

for your kind information wide grip is for inner head of bicps not long head of bicep for long head or bicep peak is close grip not the wide grip and he is dependent on suppliments..

close grip is for small biceps muscle brachialis and wide grip is for brachia inner biceps muscle and regular grip is for long biceps head

Straight rod is perfect for both bicep n triceps, I do the same it's gives good results, take heavy protein food, for big bicep n triceps.

A body builder of his calibre should have also discussed isolating the 2 heads of the bicep muscle....outer / inner head depending on narrow / wide grip. Also shoulder flexion required / not required in a curl.
