Regardless of skin colour, if you are truly sincere about helping other human beings then I commend you, but when Scott Presler holds up a sign that reads "3,6 million Black children in poverty, why do democrats care about illegal immigrants first" that is when he exposes himself as a partisan opportunist attempting to sow division between marginalized communities. If he truly cared about the impoverished and downtrodden people he would have equal concern and care for all those that are in need of help. To all the supporters of mister Presler and ACT that are out in droves in the comment section today to defend his honour I encourage you to think about this distinction between people in dire situations and whether one is less deserving of help than another. WTF?!? Trash on the streets may not be "the main problem", but it's a problem that a few volunteers can address. They might have misguided views, but wanting to clean things up so people aren't living amongst rats is NOT an evil act! It's people with bad information but good hearts. It's no good complaining about how "divided the country is", this was an opportunity to reach out to people who disagree but are trying to do a good thing as they see it. Dehumanisation goes both ways. It's NOT ENOUGH to not want to be heading the way things are heading. You have to also not want to do the things that are taking you there. "But they are the ones who are divided" is NOT SUFFICIENT.
