Bobby Hatfield just epitomised an ‘American Boy’ in this performance. So charismatic, so gorgeous and such an amazing voice. I’m blown away by him. He’s so good but what I like is that he knows it, so cheeky but so cute with it.

Well said, and a good point -- because sometimes some of us wonder if he knew how cute he was and he showed that he did here. His mother and new wife were there. That was the show of the iconic "Unchained Melody" performance. That was Bobby Hatfield's night, and he enjoyed it, and many of us are still enjoying it.

They were all just having a good time screwing around, having fun, on this. But these men were all great vocalists in their own right

It's when Bobby hits the high note and Andy and Bill just stop and look at each other as if to say wow

So good to see Bobby laughing and goofing around, looking so relaxed and happy, even the normally straightlaced Bill cracked his face for once. I hadn't realised before that Andy had also covered Unchained Melody, wonder what he thought when Bobby turned in that amazing rendition. Great find, SKS.

Andy Williams doing "Moon River" is just beautiful. Williams is noted for all his great Christmas tunes.

As you can hear, the Righteous Brothers were very into Motown. Great performers all. Andy was known for smooth, crooning type singing, but letting it out like this was a delight.

This was not the kind of music Andy Williams normally sang. It's so good to see this love it love them. Thanks

this was the FIRST TIME that I- EVER saw Andy Williams- 'Crack a Smile' He was ALWAYS so- 'Straight-Laced' in his singing performances. Kudos to the RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS, for- 'Bringing him out of his shell'. Even on his-'VARIETY SHOW', when he 'inter-acted' with other stars- he was-Staid, Professional, & un-flappable. I am-'AMAZED' by this performance.

Nah, Andy was a pro. He did comedy. Check him doing "Do Re Mi" with Bobby Darin and Eddie Fischer.

I only saw this video a couple of weeks ago and was so surprised, not only at Andy Breaking out of shell,Bobby's surprising leg moves, but their reaction at Bobby's hamming when he went soprano on them,it was very enjoyable,an I glad you found enjoyment in it,your right they did have a sense of humor.

Example of a chain reaction in reverse: Me, having fun watching you, having fun, watching the Righteous Bros and Andy Williams having fun, Great clip and a very enjoyable reaction, thanks. Andy Williams was so middle-of-the -road, ballads in his recordings, it amazed me to see him rock it up with the Bros, and do it so well.

Singing a Ray Charles classic! Andy Williams is one of the BEST crooner style singers ever! In the style of Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra, etc. He's 37 years old in this clip and Bill and Bobby are 24. Because of the difference age and genre, they were seeing if Andy was "hip" enough to hang with them. He certainly held his own. When Bobby hits that high, both Bill and Andy just kind of stopped and were like "Whoah! We can't do that." LOL!

Believe it or not, I saw the LIVE (on TV) when it was aired. I was a big fan of the RB sine Little Latin Lupe Loop. having them on the Andy Williams show blew me away. I remember thinking, now, at last, they made it.

So glad you liked this. There is a continuation where they explain to Andy how Bobby came to sing Unchained Melody instead of Bill. Just as funny. As you may have figured out from the outfits that was the night Bobby sang that incredible version of the song on Andy's show. I've saved the other part in my playlist and will try to send it to you. You are a woman after my own heart who likes her men to be both sexy and funny. ❤

Andy Williams always requested his audience to stay quiet out of respect for the artists performing. Also because Bobby singing unchained melody would be recorded live.
