The DYNAMIC DUO excelled again, one of the greatest songs ever! Hard to believe Bill Medley is 81. Actually was interviewed a few days ago. He and Bucky Heard will b doing ten shows in Florida. I believe it'll be great. I was a big fan since 64. Bobby Hatfield passed in 2003. Definitely one of the greatest singers ever, Unchained Melody is his song.

Ahhhhh haaaaaa! Caught you! Admit it! This song was so well done and so beautiful you wanted to cry. But you managed to hold on. Lately I have been looking back a year and seeing were so many of your generation and younger are blown away when they hear of the likes of blue-eyed soul. And I feel sorry for you. Because today, I don’t care what anybody says, there just isn’t that kind of music. Lyrics rarely make any sense, most people wouldn’t know what a love song if they came up and hit them in the face, and the ability of singers to carry the song without electronic help, as the righteous brothers do, just isn’t there. But thank God we can let you roll back time and see how it was like when I was a teenager growing up!

Also they made History by being on The Cover Of The Very First Issue of Tiger Beat Magazine in 1965. It is now the Longest Running Teen Magazine in US Publishing. Lloyd Thaxton who also hosted his own Music Show Publishing Company also created Right On which was the First African American Teen Magazine. They didn't work with Phil Spector on this Track and the show they are on is called Hullaballoo where each week a different person Hosted. That week it was Nancy Sinatra (Frank's Daughter) who described them as Two Guys who did inspired interpretations of Soul Music.

The 1960's, were turbulent times in the U.S. Korean War was over, Laos was heating up ahead of Vietnam. We had a very popular President assassinated! We needed exactly what, The Righteous Brothers brought us. Love of Home, Country, Appreciation for women and the Love of Them.
Like a coin, good analogy. I remember when this song came out.

They aren't "Brothers" but alot of folks thought they were. Bobby Hatfield (The Blond Guy) and Bill Medley (The Dark Haired One) got their start playing at Naval Bases in San Francisco, CA and the Sailers who were predominately Black clapped and cheered and said "That's Righteous Brothers" and the name stuck. This Song and You've Lost That Loving Feeling were two of their biggest hits. They broke up and they each gave up the rights to their Songs. Big Mistake. When the songs were popular in Top Gun & Ghost they didn't get paid. Another Song they did was "Rock & Roll Heaven".

Hello Michael. Thank you for subscribing. However, I do not take requests as do not run my account begging for subscribers. People subscribe because of what I play and not to tell me what to play. So I'm not dependant on that. I earn nothing from doing all this at all and work for free even though I'm extremely busy and time precious, so all of you can watch for free. People can also treat the channel to coffees should they wish. Subscribing doesn't earn the channel anything - it's basically an alert. Also whom ever I play the revenue goes to them and not me, so I choose whom to play. If you unsubscribe that's fine - I wish you well on your journey. Just letting you know as I'm honesty and open unlike a lot of channels who have Patron, Donations, Merchandise etc. Have a great Tuesday, be safe.
