I am just digging the Brothers. I am watching as much of their stuff as I have time for. As a Black man (62yrs) watching this video, this guys are not faking it, they are totally in their element. I like to watch Bobby when he physically gets all into his songs.

Bill Medley is the white Ray Charles, imo…these guys have been among my favs since 1964, when I was 16/17 yrs old and discovered them on the radio in W. Upstate NY…❤❤❤❤…thanks sooo much for sharing…💯❤️🫂

Now you know why they were called "Blue Eyed Soul"! When they first came out everyone thought they were black ~ no one sang like them before. Simply fantastic! No one can touch them, in those days there was REAL TALENT! No gimmicks, no whore's, no showing your crotch. Just pure talent. God, I miss those days. Thank you Bill and Bobby.

Bill is vastly underrated. It's a crime that his solo albums are not remastered and rereleased as CDs. A Song For You, in particular, is outstanding. Right Here and Now is great, too.

I remember when this ran and we couldn't believe how good it was. Shindig didn't hit higher than the Blossoms and the Righteous Bros. Some people were shocked that white boys and black gals were singing such hot, sexy songs together on TV.

@@garyeaton5719 It was at this time (0r a little later) when Weil and Mann wrote this for Bill. When Mann took Brown Eyed Woman to him to ask if he would be comfortable singing it, Darleen Love walked out of the kitchen and Mann said "I'll take that as a yes."

@@garyeaton5719 Bill did write some great songs but not this one. Several of his are featured on his album Blue Eyed Singer. When it came time to record Brown Eyed Woman he wasn't happy with how it was going. When they moved Darlene right in front of him, he sang it directly to her and it really worked. Glad you liked my reply. Wasn't trying to be hyper critical but seems you are a true fan and deserved the truth. I too have become ever more impressed with the RB and especially Bill over the years.

I just found out from other posted comments here on KZbin that Bill Medley (taller one) and Darlene Love (with the lighter-colored wig) had a relationship in real life. That makes me happy because I really like both of them.

Yeah they did, did you see him sing Brown Eyed Woman at the Playboy club? He kept turning around to see her. Said they didn't get real serious because he was married, and black and white wasn't done back then. She didn't want to go there because of it. Also look over his left shoulder as he's singing. Trump is there too.

I have always loved this song but watching the video only intensifies my feelings. I'm going to say it and feel free to disagree. Bill Medley in my opinion is truly one of the best R&B/Soul singers ever. The Righteous Brothers were one of the greatest duos of that era....
