This was the most played song on the radio in the 20th Century. Not brothers but singing partners baritone Bill Medley & Bobby Hatfield (the one who sang "Unchained Melody" you reacted to). They blend their voices beautifully again on "Soul and Inspiration" & "You Never Walk Alone".

For sure they were not blood brothers but were soul brothers and close friends. Recorded this song when they were only in their mid 20's. They sound so mature for their ages. Both were highly influenced by black musicians like Otis Redding, Little Richard, Ray Charles and many others. Audiences both black and white initially thought they were black. A black DJ called them Blue Eyed Soul singers and the name stuck. I liked how you listened to the song before commenting. That's the way it should be heard.
