7:37 . this has to be one of the most hard hitting meaning to me that can fly over alot of ppls head easily. When you get to where you are in life sometimes and it wasn't what you wanted, as in not being able to get that dream job or not being able to really 'succeed' in life without being happy. You make it to the very top of what you can achieve but without ever being able to fully live your life and you choose to stay where you're at without trying again.
@DaRealXotic8 ай бұрын
I took it as finally reaching that top, where the one you used to acknowledge and inspire after is knocked off their throne only for the cycle to repeat as you sit at the lonely top... You made it, you're the best... but did it make you happy? Was it with it to be the only best? How long until someone YOU inspired comes and knocks you down into nothingness?

I like the blue life one. Maybe it’s because I’m balls high but I completely understand what all of these mean, specifically what Pepe represents. He represents us in our various collective daily struggles to get through the day and just live life. Every person can relate to this, there’s always a long list of things that you know you have to do but don’t want to, or that you know will happen but don’t want to happen. That list I feel like gets longer as you get older. And sometimes thing in that list can really weigh down on us, feel like a roadblock to your enjoyment with life. And that’s what Pepe here represents: ourselves making it through or coping with those roadblocks.

The best part is how the animations are actually so beautiful and you can feel a meaning and loop on them. And that's a neat detail when the song picked is this kind of beat that gets you chill and reflective. 6:14 Oh I loved this one. I think I get the meaning of this one in specific and wanted to share. Its about how different their personalities are. The children have a chaotic rainbow flashing colors inside of its brain, represents a vast early imagination. Meanwhile, the adult have less flashing colors but a more organized and better in the pattern of the colors of the cubes, which represents its maturity. But at the end they are both synced: 6:24 And that's because: no matter how much their thoughts are distinctive, a father and son at the end of the day (should) still understand and love each other, always.

That was my favorite one too. To me it felt like a grandfather and his grandson, where the lit up display was kinda showing how they're both at different stages of life (with the grandfather's display showing signs of slowing down since he's older, meanwhile the grandson's display is new and full of all sorts of colors because he's still young) but even despite their differences in their stages of life, they're both similar in a way and the grandfather and grandson even bond by copying each other. The grandfather even looks proud of his grandson when they both show the same patterns and symbols, because in the end our kids and our kids' kids are just reflections of us. It honestly made me shed a tear because stuff like that just makes it seem like we live through our kids, even beyond death, and we leave such a lasting impact on their lives that even when we're no longer here they still carry a part of us with them.

To me the one especially at 8:42 is some sort of nonverbal way of an outcry because of what happened to Pepe. The original growing things beautifully, then watching it fester into something more sinister with each step. The new pepe hugging him and dying in his arms, going in peace and with a smile to show the original an ounce of love. I know a lot of these are meant for interpretation, so feel free to interpret it differently, I am not trying to force some theory about an animation of Pepe, but I do agree that these videos are living proof that he is not who he “became” nor has he ever been.

These pepe animations are so well made.. The perspectives are damn impressive, and they're so smooth. Better animation than most animes.
@kool42098 ай бұрын
The other animes fail at perspective. 😊 depth adds greatly to drawing. Giving your moving animations the illusion of depth is a danger tool.

Honestly, ill leave a comment purely for the fact that these videos are beautiful. They really symbolize a lot of online culture mixed with the real world.

Matt Furie is a legend and the creator of the beloved Pepe. However it takes people like you and me to truly appreciate this work and elevate it to the status of art and culture.

Никогда не думал что Пепе будет ассоциироваться с чем то глубоким и душевным . Много разных тем в этих анимациях , + музыка хорошо их дополняет . Это шедевр , не иначе

I'm going to learn how to animate only to make more of these and team up with Matt to take pepe back. He's all of us, not just some of us, and that's what these videos represent. Sadness, determination, skill, loneliness, passion, heart, courage, selflessness, wonder, and many more things that connect us all. Something we can all relate to, let's help him expand pepe lore!

"take it back" ? you cant take back what was given to the internet, child.
@jaythehulkmoeller6648 Жыл бұрын
@scout360pyroz maybe I'll rephrase, we'll eliminate the stigma behind pepe. Take it back was a figure of speech. Honestly I think that stigma is alot less relevant now.
@scout360pyroz Жыл бұрын
@@jaythehulkmoeller6648 what stigma? silly propaganda from the clinton campaign to demonize a reaction image used by everyone on a website? anyone who fell for that and wont listen to a simple explanation is not worth taking seriously. Especially if they fell for the "ok" symbol trick deliberately engineered by a certain section of the internet to see if the media would fall for it.

These feel like a celebration of both the joy of life and the despair of how limited our existence is. Every piece of this has a meaning. Some deep, some obvious. These layers of meaning add their own depth. It feels endless and is a work of art. It gives me a feeling like my soul is overflowing with emotion I can't describe. Like a balloon being filled. Like standing at the top of a mountain with and endless sky before you.

I guess that all of these, like people mentioned here in the comments, these animations have a moral, some, a story, others a meaning even a message. In my own perspective we are all free to understand from what we see here, some might be more clear than others, while there are some that might give us a personal meaning/ message. For example: ( again for me ) the training martial artist Pepe, it symbolizes the discipline we get, the hard train there is all behind it. also a reference for a couple of movies. the falling Pepe from the airplane, and the other gives him the parachute, ( sometimes there are people who will abide their own life if they feel like it to save yours) the marionettes Pepes dancing ( there is someone behind the big curtains pulling the string to keep "us" entertain" the flamming Pepe walking while candles get light ( you have a lot of shit in your life, but that doesn't stop you from helping others now does it ? , you are strong to help others ( light other candles up = helping ur frineds / family ) BUT being able to help yourself as well ) again this is the things i got from these and a lot more from the rest we all see here, again I might be wrong, but personally speaking i think it makes sense.

Mind blowing. Brilliant animation, scene transitions and metaphors aside, this compilation tell the story of what its like to have your adolescence on 4chan. Teenage rebellion, early attempts at philosophy fuelled by popular culture mixed with the worst of the internet - gore, porn, consumerism and a deep sense of loneliness and distrust. You see these themes play out here in so many clever ways. Makes me realise that 4chan is where youthful optimism goes to die. So harmful.
