@middlemist2224

@MI LO The Body Shop’s refill station is still in the experimental stage and it’s a risky investment to implement globally. They only started doing this last year in their home country, the UK, and it was just this March that they implemented it in Canada. Big celebrities like Rihanna have the ability to make anything an instant trend. If she had taken the initiative to implement them, then every other big companies would’ve naturally followed to keep up with the trends There are other businesses that do this, but they’re very small and only have one location. Without the support of a major celebrity, it will take a long time for refill stations to become widespread 😭

Talking about Rihanna’s Harper’s Bazaar skin care video as “A little bit disingenuous” is so mild and careful like Cassandra is afraid to say it as it is. Because if it was for example Kylie Jenner instead of Rihanna, Cassandra would call it out and addressed it as bullshit, because how dare Kylie put an spf during the night. Same thing with her struggling with packaging and still repeating “no but I really like the concept” like cmon. I’m so tired of Rihanna can do no wrong like she’s above everybody and everything.

The packaging is sustainable if customers like the product. Buying the refills saves plastic over time but if it doesn’t work for your skin it actually ends up being more wasteful than typical packaging because they use so much plastic for the holding jar. My concern would be that Rihana has so many fans who will buy it just to support her then find it doesn’t suit their skin type and they won’t rebuy so it’ll end up wasting plastic.

Cassandra, Fenty Skin and Beauty both are refusing to provide clear-cut answers about their cruelty-free status. Cruelty Free Kitty has emailed them multiple times and they’re still acting very sus about it, putting into question how true their CF status is. As a fellow animal-lover, I thought you might like to know this and not support the brand :)

I opened my package as I was watching this. I too struggled with the assembly at first. I was hoping the other side opened. I don't need the stick. I love the fact that it is very smooth and light. I was actually using my sunscreen at night because it doubles as a moisturizer.

Who wants to spend that much time opening a night cream? Like, at night, when you're supposed to relax? Fiddling with it for like 1 minute straight lol. Not to mention that this line is supposed to be really inclusive and stuff but I can't see how anyone with even the most slightly dry skin could use it.

I really like the packaging in terms of the spatula and the holder for it. I like using them because I feel like it’s more hygienic and I’m always losing them so having somewhere to put it is a good idea imo

I'm still watching the review, but I will say I do appreciate that they gave the spatula a place to live in the packaging when it's not in use. I feel like so many of the products I have that came with spatulas don't think about where you are supposed to store them!

i actually make my own tattoo balm 😺 Thank you by the way, for both this review and the review on the cleanser, toner, sunscreen. I have been wanting to try these products as I like my daytime skincare routine to be pretty basic. I do more with my night routine as I find it relaxing. Your honest reviews gave me a much better idea on whether or not these products would work for me.

My skin loves the whole Fenty Skin line 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️.... the packaging is cute to me and I like the idea of just buying refills instead of having to buy the whole thing. I did have the same issues when I was putting the night cream package together bc I wanted to open the other side so bad haha

I really don't like this at all! A double layered, plastic packaged product, is NOT being sustainable. How are the refills packaged? Also, $40 is NOT reasonable! $36 for a refill, ok. So, the packaging is worth $4?????? Really? The refills ought to be $25 - $30. Let's talk about that stupid half open lid. At some point of using this, the plastic scoop (yep, more plastic to end up God knows where) is going to be absolutely useless (it can't turn corners). Then the design faults appear. You're going to HAVE to remove the lid to gain access to the product, which is on the opposite side of the useless, half moon, opening. No thank you, I'll continue to use the competitively priced, South Korean products. Excellent ingredients, well formulated and very effective.

Me and my severe arthritis will pass on this, packaging not very inclusive. They claim to be "cruelty free"(the term itself has no legal meaning) but refuse to provide details.about their status. Also this does not seem really "refillable", you still have to purchase the part with the cream and as you know yourself packaging is the most expensive part of skincare - so this just means that they are able to profit even more per sale of the "refill". Oh and don't forget preventing people with sensitivities to use it due to the fragrance ... not inclusive, neither is the price point for something made mainly from one of the cheapest raw ingredients.

watching you trying to open this hurts, haha! their products are nicely described and very well presented on their website. the packaging itself is actually very thought out. the spatula works well for hygiene purposes and helps a lot for those with longer nails. to pop out the spatula you just press down on one side of it and it should come out right away. i also like how the spatula is not separate and can be stored because with most creams you just eventually lose it. the flip of the lid that covers the spatula can be left open and can work sort of as handle while you twist everything open. it’s much easier to open it that way rather than twisting at it from the middle, especially if you have other skincare on your hands that make it all too slippery. i personally love both the packaging and the product, works very well with my oily skin :-)

But watching your videos I might try some new items when my Fenty skin run out! I’m sure my skin could be even better. Have you done a video on TrophySkin Microdermabrasion MD machine? I stopped breaking out once I started using it. (Maybe bc I wasn’t cleansing my skin right 😂) Thanks 😊

@Cassandra Bankson I really need some advice. Yesterday I had a treatment with some kind of esthetician that I bought some products from and he gave me a harder treatment with glycolic acid that burned a lot. My skin was burning most of the time and was painful every time he touched it or put other stuff on it, but told me it would stop over time. Today I contacted him since I have redness, pain and scabs apart from pain doing some normal movements; and he said that the skin needs to renew itself, that it is part of the process. Is it really or did he actually do it wrong?
