People complaining about why she waters down her accent. If you don't come from an island, like the Caribbean, you most likely wont understand what we're saying. Ive met too many people who genuinely can't understand when a person speaks in a true Jamaican or Bajan accent, using slang and terminology. So to make it easier on ourselves and others we use an American accent.

I'm of Jamaican decent and my Grandma is from Kingston. I have known her all my life and to this day i still can't fully understand her when she speaks with her full Jamaican accent. It's quite strong. Btw im from England

Enough with all the nonsense in the comment section! 😑 Ima need y'all to understand that the same way a person from Jamaica is called a Jamaican, any person from Barbados is called a Barbadian. The term Bajan is mainly used by us locals/(others from the Caribbean) and is basically a name we gave to ourselves, in other words the term derived from our dialect. It's the same as Jamaicans referring to themselves as "yardie" Hope that cleared up the confusion for you guys. 😩😌😌😌😌
