I had SO MUCH FUN watching Rihanna have SO MUCH fun, herself, during this performance. I actually felt like I was in her living room with her, and she just decided to turn that moment into a show. But we could all join in. It felt very personal, and not so much perfomative. And I appreciated that A LOT. I was crying the entire time, especially when she was pulling them dance moves (while pregnant). It was just so pure, and joyful and absolutely STUNNING. And she was not even wearing high heels!!!!! So, the whole atmosphere was giving RED-SICKENING ENERGY! I cried, and this performance still makes me very emotional. We get to see Rihanna's love for music, but also her tenderness, and maternal nature comes through during this performance as well. I saw her touching her bump, which was just so sweet to watch. So, I am OBSESSED with this performance. I fell in love with Rih even more after this performance. I actually, have never watched a musician perform, and still feel more human and utterly relatable to the audience, even the audience at home. So, this was absolutely stunning for me. It was giving everything it needed to give. I'm so glad that she performed this halftime, in SNEAKERS. Who even does that? BADGIRLRIRI does that! So, there you go. Much love for the Navy, for you Zach, and for mama Rih. Giving us BadMamaRiri at this point. Love to see it. ❤

The pregnancy reveal did had me shocked, as well as her starting with B*tch better have my money high above the field (Thought she was gonna start with Diamonds & end with Umbrella or Stay). Aside from the fact she's preggers, let's also talk about how the Superbowl does not pay its artists/performers. So I think for the fact she essentially gave us a FREE show, she did a great job. As I always say, "You'll have to pay for the rest." It was cute for what it was, and I'm also so happy for her with baby #2. I wonder if she's gonna start a "trend" of announcing a new baby every February lol. The Superbowl will simply donate to a charity of the artist's choice, but the artists do NOT get paid. She paid the dancers, the staffers, the staging concepts ALL of that. Rihanna is a BILLIONAIRE whose money is NICE AND LONG; she could literally choose to not sing or perform for the rest of her life if she wanted to. She gave a FREE performance and literally did it for her fans. Also I'm not sure what yall were expecting as Rihanna has NEVER been known to be extra with her performances. She's always had more of a mellow chill vibe when performing. She's not going to give what Bey, Cardi or even Doja give on stage. Just be glad she even agreed to do it, because many artists have been boycotting on the strength they DON'T get paid for the performance at all. Rihanna is a Billionaire and has the financial backing to not ever need to be paid for a performance for the rest of her life. Music is not her focus right now. I def feel like this performance was more of a love tribute to all of the fans who’ve been with her since she came out. We know her as a musician first. That’s how she got put on. She is now a business woman and that’s ok. Everyone grows and moves on. I just feel like you can tell this was more a performance of gratitude versus a passionate performance and before y’all start, I never expect Rihanna to do flips and vocal acrobatics. She herself has admitted she’s not a dancer or vocalist. I think she truly is in a different place when I comes to music and this may have been her way of saying thanks to her fans by giving them something to hold on to while she moves on to her new passions. It was a visually beautiful performance (the dancers and stage setup were the highlights!) and I think her vocals have def matured and I loved hearing the evolution of her voice. All in all it was a nice performance but the passion was not all the way there for me and that’s ok. I think I mostly loved it for the nostalgia of seeing her sing again. I know she’s in a new space now. Much love to her for even doing this for us bc I was worried we’d never see Rihanna perform again and I’ve missed her💕

Hi my love...just new to the channel and reviewing your posts and saw this. Loved it..and although pregnant and limited in dance...she ATE. Now here is a tidbit that was missed in the commentary and will truly make you gag. You remember that the last song Diamonds in the Sky ... did you know that the big red coat worn by Ri was owned and formerly belonged to the late Andre Leon Talley and was worn by Ri as tribute to the late fashion icon during her performance of this song? Deep Subliminal but there. In addition to the performance this was an absolute heart touching tearful drop the mic moment for me..as Talley loved Ri dearly. Not even crumbs were left... just the bare table!

I just liked the Kanye Tribute say what you will but this performance was very Kanye influenced down to her outfit, the floating stage, the dancers outfits, it was all very Yeezy. That’s the first thing I noticed.

Lol, this song is so average, there’s nothing interesting about it, I’d rather see her perform towards the sun instead of lift me up any day. But I know she doesn’t have the vocal skills to sing those songs live. I like the song choices, I’m glad she did RUN THIS TOWN, one of the best songs of her career, I’m also glad she didn’t do pon the replay, this song is annoying as fuck

Loved the performance beginning to end! The dancers were beyond the beyond, Rih sounded amazing, and she looked fantastic with baby #2 onboard but I feel like you though, Zach…I wanted MORE! It felt like it was supposed to be bigger….I mean she did say they had gone through 39 versions of the performance. Hopefully a different iteration will make its way to the stage whenever she decided to go on tour again…if ever 😅

It was dry… Ppl are really giving her the Taylor Swift energy… Both are mediocre, but get much praise… I like Rhiannas music, but on stage she has always been a little lack luster ( Yes I’ve seen her in concert a couple times). The PRODUCTION really made this and that was it🤷🏽‍♀️

Well Taylor is a an outstanding songwriter who really does deserve the praise she gets. Rihanna on the other hand barely writes or produces her own work and is neither a great dancer nor singer.

I agree with you Zack. Dancers Ate! I wish she would included "Disturbia" or "Please Don't Stop the Music." Her dichotomy my song list is crazy. On interview she said, " She had 39 Playlist performance remixes to review." I enjoyed performance in Rihanna style.

Nah the pregnancy is no excuse to not have a more exciting show around her. Riri did really well, my main problem is not with her performance as such, but the whole staging/concept. The suspended stages were cool, but it was literally the same aesthetic throughout the whole thing. If they created different visuals for different parts of the performance (think Katy, Madonna, Beyonce, Gaga etc. who all had more visual variation), her just standing there and singing nice (like she did) would have instantly made a bigger impact.

Oh I don’t think you heard but due to the grass in the stadium , they were not able too add heavy and different parts like the past . The nfl said they had to do a lighter, smaller stage. That’s why rih and her team came up with the concept of her being in the air . ( you could research it on google )
